A shifting mechanism, in which a movable member integrated with an engagement pin will not be rotated by a friction acting between a cam groove and the engagement pin, includes: a shift drum that on which a cam groove is formed; a cam sleeve having an engagement pin inserted into the cam groove; a fork shaft reciprocated between predetermined positions by rotating the shift drum; a support stem extending parallel to a center axis of the cam sleeve; and a projection formed integrally with the cam sleeve to come into contact with the support stem when the cam sleeve is rotated.

Shifting mechanism

A vehicle control system is provided to maintain an SOC level of the battery during autonomous operation of the vehicle. The control system is applied to a vehicle that can be operated autonomously by controlling an engine, a motor, a steering system, a brake system etc. autonomously by a controller, and the vehicle is allowed to coast by manipulating a clutch. During autonomous operation of the vehicle, a first coasting mode in which the engine is stopped and the clutch is disengaged is selected if the SOC level is higher than a threshold level, and a second coasting mode in which the engine is activated and the clutch is disengaged is selected if the SOC level is lower than the threshold level.

Vehicle control system

A cooling system for a power transmission unit that can supply oil properly to a differential mechanism and motors. The cooling system comprises: a first branch passage to supply the oil to the differential mechanism; a second branch passage to supply the oil to the first motor; and a third branch passage to supply the oil to the second motor. The second branch passage includes a first oil feeding section that supplies the oil to a coil of the first motor, and a second oil feeding section that supplies the oil f to a core of the first motor. The third branch passage includes a third oil feeding section that supplies the oil to a coil of the second motor, and a fourth oil feeding section that supplies the oil to a core of the second motor.

Cooling system for power transmission unit

A control system for a hybrid vehicle configured to suppress a temperature rise in a transmission while achieving a required driving force without modifying a cooling system. If a temperature in the transmission is lower than a threshold level during propulsion in a hybrid mode, a controller operates an engine at an optimally fuel efficient point. If the temperature in the transmission system is equal to or higher than the threshold level during propulsion in a hybrid mode, the controller shifts the operating point of the engine to the point at which the heat generation in the transmission system can be suppressed.

Control system for hybrid vehicle

A drive unit is provided for hybrid vehicles capable of reducing electric power consumption during propulsion in an EV mode. The drive unit includes a first planetary gear unit to which an engine is connected, and a second planetary gear unit connected to a third rotary element of the first planetary gear unit. A controller detects a charging zone where the electric storage device can be charged by the external power source, and restricts at least any one of a charging of the electric storage device and a discharging of electricity from the electric storage device so as to limit a load factor of the electric storage device to be smaller than a predetermined limit value when the vehicle passes through the charging zone.

Control system for autonomous vehicle

A control system for a vehicle that prevents an unintentional mode change when a command signal cannot be transmitted to an engagement device. In the vehicle, HV-Lo mode is established by connecting a carrier to a carrier by a first clutch while disconnecting the carrier from a ring gear by a second clutch, and HV-Lo mode is established by disconnecting the carrier from the carrier by the first clutch while connecting the carrier to the ring gear by the second clutch. A normally stay clutch is used as at least one of the first clutch and the second clutch.

Drive force control system for vehicle

A vehicle control system configured to maintain detection accuracy of an external sensor such as an on-board camera. The vehicle control system is applied to a vehicle that can be operated autonomously. A controller communicates with a database stored on the controller and a database stored on an external facility. The controller changes orientation of a headlamp toward an object detected by an on-board camera, in a case that the headlamp is turned on, and that information about the object detected by the on-board camera is not available in the database.

A vehicle control apparatus includes: an information acquisition unit acquiring feature information indicating a feature regarding vehicle driving of an occupant of a vehicle; and a control unit changing at least one property included in a driving property or a manipulation property in the vehicle. Further, the control unit changes at least one property included in the driving property or the manipulation property of the vehicle, from a basic property of the vehicle to a property reflecting the feature information, based on the feature information, and brings the changed property close to the basic property of the vehicle in accordance with at least one of an integrated value of boarding hours, an integrated value of running distances, and the number of boardings of the vehicle of the occupant.

Vehicle control apparatus

A vehicle platooning system to operate vehicles in a platoon in an appropriate order. The vehicle platooning system is applied to a vehicle that can be operated autonomously. A controller obtains information about each of the vehicles participating in the platoon including a straight line stability upon satisfaction of a condition to form a platoon with other vehicles, and assigns the vehicle having a relatively good straight line stability to a leader vehicle in the platoon.

A drive device for a hybrid vehicle includes an engine, a first motor, a power split device, a second motor, a first speed reduction unit, a second speed reduction unit, and a differential gear. The first motor generates electric power. The power split device splits drive power output from the engine to the first motor side and a drive wheel side. The second motor increases or decreases torque output from the power split device and to be transmitted to the differential gear. The second motor is coupled to a sun gear. The first speed reduction unit is coupled to the sun gear. The second speed reduction unit is provided between the first speed reduction unit and the differential gear. The differential gear transmits torque to the drive wheel.

Drive device for hybrid vehicle

A control system for hybrid vehicles to eliminate the shortage of drive force within the low-to-mid speed range in the hybrid mode. In a differential mechanism, a first rotary element is connected to an engine, a second rotary element is connected to a first motor, a third rotary element is connected to a second motor, and a fourth rotary element is connected to an output unit. A third motor is connected to the output unit. When the controller determines that the hybrid vehicle is propelled by the torque of the engine, the first motor and the second motor generate torques in a same direction as an engine torque to propel the vehicle in a forward direction, and the third motor generates a torque in the forward direction to propel the vehicle together with the engine torque.

A drive unit for a hybrid vehicle capable of improvement of fuel efficiency during HV running is provided. The drive unit includes an engine, a first motor, a second motor, a first planetary gear unit, a second planetary gear unit, a first engagement unit, and a second engagement unit. In a case where an operation state of the vehicle is high vehicle speed and a low driving force in which a requested driving force is small, by bringing the first engagement unit to an engaged state and the second engagement unit to the disengaged state, a first state where a gear ratio which is a rotation number ratio between an input element and an output element of a complex planetary gear unit becomes a first gear ratio &#x3b3;smaller than '1' is set. In the case of a low vehicle speed and a high driving force in which the requested driving force is large, by bringing the second engagement unit to the engaged state and the first engagement unit to the disengaged state, a second state where the gear ratio becomes a second gear ratio &#x3b3;larger than '1' is set.
