To obtain an electricity storage type air conditioning apparatus which is capable of coping with the improvement in performance of the air conditioner or the needs for increase in cooling load and additional equipment to be installed afterward, by which it becomes possible to easily reduce the power consumption in the daytime even for an existing apparatus in which peak power cut is not considered, and which is suitable to reduce the noise and decrease the size. An electricity storage type air conditioning apparatus comprises a refrigeration cycle system including a compressor, a thermal-source-side heat exchanger, a decompression device and a service-side heat exchanger which are annularly connected by means of pipes to allow a refrigerant to circulate therethrough, a storage battery in which electric power is stored, and a cooling/heating source device by which the refrigerant is cooled and heated between the thermal-source-side heat exchanger and the service-side heat exchanger, the cooling/heating source device being driven with the storage battery.

Electricity storage type air conditioning apparatus and cooling/heating

A heat exchanger composed by overlapping a plurality of heat exchanger units each of which is formed by inserting a plurality of fins over one or a plurality of heat transfer tubes. The fins are worked so that a pair of opposed fins of the overlapped heat exchanger units are brought into contact with each other at one or more points. This heat exchanger constitutes an air conditioner when the heat exchanger units are overlapped in a direction of gravity.

This causes a quantity of excess refrigerant stored in the receiver to change to thereby vary an effective quantity of refrigerant circulating through the refrigerating cycle.

A refrigeration cycle comprises a compressor, an indoor heat exchange, an outdoor heat exchanger, a liquid receiver; and a pressure reducer connected in series to form a closed loop. The liquid receiver and the pressure reducer connected in series are connected between the indoor heat exchanger and said outdoor heat exchanger. A non-azeotropic mixture refrigerant comprising at least two kinds of refrigerant of different boiling temperatures mixed together is charged in and circulated through the refrigeration cycle. Refrigeration cycle and method of controlling the same

A refrigerating system having a refrigerating cycle constructed by connecting an accumulator, a refrigerant compressor, a four-way valve, an outdoor unit heat exchanger, an outdoor unit expander, a receiver, an indoor unit expander and an indoor unit heat exchanger sequentially by pipes. Normally, excessive refrigerant is stored in the receiver and when it becomes necessary to raise a ratio of lower boiling point refrigerants, a flow amount of the refrigerant is decreased by restricting the outdoor unit expander during the cooling operation or by restricting the indoor unit expander during the heating operation to move the excessive refrigerant within the receiver to the accumulator. Thereby, the composition of the refrigerant circulating within the refrigerating system using non-azeotrophic refrigerant mixtures may be changed without using a complicated system structure or control method thereof and the capacity of the refrigerating cycle may be changed.

Refrigerating system and operating method thereof

An air conditioner comprises a first unit including a compressor and a heat exchanger, a second unit including a heat exchanger, a refrigerant circuit connecting the compressor and the heat exchanger of the first unit, with the heat exchanger of the second unit, through which a refrigerant flows, a refrigerant pressure reduction valve disposed in the refrigerant circuit and provided in the second unit, a control unit provided in the first unit for controlling the refrigerant pressure reduction valve in the second unit.

A mixed-refrigerant comprising two or more types of refrigerants having different boiling points is enclosed in a refrigerating cycle and a capacitance sensor is used as a device for detecting a composition of the mixed-refrigerant. The electrostatic capacitance sensor is disposed in an evaporation portion of the refrigerating cycle. The refrigerating cycle has a refrigerant composition calculating device for calculating a composition of the refrigerant in the refrigerating cycle in accordance with an output signal from the capacitance sensor and an adequate composition judging device for judging whether or not the composition of the mixed-refrigerant circulating in the refrigerating cycle is in an adequate state in accordance with an output signal from the refrigerant composition calculating device.

Apparatus for detecting composition of refrigerant and method therefor

The composition of a refrigerant in a refrigeration cycle is detected, so that the refrigeration cycle is controlled by a control method in accordance with the detected composition. A control target value is set in accordance with the detected composition, and when the composition is varied, the control target is changed in accordance with that variation. As a result, even when the refrigerant composition is varied, the refrigeration cycle can be operated stably. The refrigeration cycle uses a non-azeotrope refrigerant, and includes a device for detecting the composition of a non-azeotrope refrigerant; a device for detecting the operating state of the refrigeration cycle, i.e., status values to be controlled, such as temperature or pressure; a computation control apparatus for accepting composition, temperature, pressure or the like, detected by the detecting device as inputs and for performing signal conversion, computation control for control targets, or the like; and a drive apparatus for driving the components of the refrigeration cycle, such as a compressor or a refrigerant pressure reduction apparatus.

Refrigeration cycle

Disclosed is a multi-airconditioner including a plurality of outdoor units and at least one indoor units in which refrigerant conduits connecting the outdoor units and the at least one indoor units are united in the form of two or three conduits. In the case of the multi-airconditioner for effecting either room-cooling or room-heating, each of the outdoor units and each of the indoor units have a liquefied refrigerant conduit and a gasified refrigerant conduit, which are connected with a single common liquefied refrigerant conduit and a single common gasified refrigerant conduit, respectively. In the case of the multi-conditioner for effecting simultaneous room-cooling and room-heating operation in which some of the indoor units are under room-cooling operation while the other indoor units are under room-heating operation, each outdoor unit and each indoor unit have a liquefied refrigerant conduit, a high-pressure gasified refrigerant conduit and a low-pressure gasified refrigerant conduit, and these liquefied refrigerant conduits, high-pressure gasified refrigerant conduits and low-pressure gasified refrigerant conduits are connected to a single common liquefied refrigerant conduit, a single common high-pressure gasified refrigerant conduit and a single common low-pressure gasified refrigerant conduit, respectively.

Multi-airconditioner

An air-conditioning system for a cooling operation and a heating operation comprises a first heat exchanger to which a high-pressure and high-temperature refrigerant which has not been substantially cooled and adiabatically expanded after being compressed is supplied to heat the inside of a room to be air-conditioned during both of the cooling operation and the heating operation, a second heat exchanger to which a low-pressure and low-temperature refrigerant which has been substantially cooled and adiabatically expanded after being compressed is supplied to cool the inside of the room during both of the cooling operation and heating operation, and an air flow generator for generating an air flow which passes the first heat exchanger and the second heat exchanger, wherein the second heat exchanger is arranged at an upstream side of the first heat exchanger in the air flow.
