The present invention relates to an electrostatic discharge protection device provided with an insulating laminate containing a first and a second insulating substrate stacked there, a first and a second discharge electrode disposed inside the insulating laminate, a first insulating layer having glass disposed on the side surfaces of the first and the second discharge electrodes, a second insulating layer having glass disposed on the main surfaces of the first and the second discharge electrodes, and an discharge inducing section disposed between the side surfaces of the first and the second discharge electrode, wherein, the distance between the side surfaces of the first and the second discharge electrodes was set as &#x394;G and the thickness of the second insulating layer was set as &#x394;Z which two adapt to inequations 3 &#x3bc;m&#x2266;&#x394;Z&#x2266;35 &#x3bc;m and &#x394;G&#x2266;40 &#x3bc;m.

ESD protection device

An electrostatic protection device with an improved durability with repeated use and an excellent discharging property is provided. The electrostatic protection devicecomprising an insulating laminate, a pair of discharge electrodesandinside the insulating laminateand a discharge triggered partdisposed between these discharge electrodes and at the periphery of the end portion of the discharge electrode is configured by disposing glass-containing insulating layersandon the surfaces of the discharge electrodes. The flow of conductive inorganic materials in the discharge electrodes towards the discharge triggered part caused by the discharging process can be inhibited by arranging the insulating layer containing glass on the surfaces of the discharge electrodes.

Electrostatic protection device

An ESD protection device is provided which has a low electrostatic capacitance, a low short-circuiting rate and an excellent durability. Also, in the ESD protection device, the damage derived from short-circuiting or the peak voltage can be inhibited. The ESD protection device includes an insulating substrate, electrodes separately and oppositely disposed on the insulating substrate and a discharge inducing section arranged between the electrodes. The discharge inducing section consists of porous structure with microscopic voids discontinuously dispersed therein and has a hollow structure in which at least one hollow space is contained. Further, the plane where the hollow structure is formed has a dense structure.

To provide an antistatic device having a low capacitance, good discharge characteristics, and small variations in the discharge characteristics. In a so-called gap-type antistatic device in which a space between a pair of opposing electrodes is filled with an electrostatic protection material, a discharge inducing portion has protrusions protruding from interfaces between the opposing electrodes and the insulation substrates toward the insulation substrates and has a shape protruding on both sides of the insulation substrates. The relationship among the gap distance between the electrodes, the thicknesses of the opposing electrodes, and the protrusions of the discharge inducing portion is controlled under specific conditions.

Antistatic device

The present invention provides an ESD protection device that not only has small electrostatic capacitance and an excellent discharge property but also has high durability against repeated use with the occurrence of short-circuiting between electrodes after discharge inhibited. An ESD protection device including an insulating substrate, electrodes arranged on this insulating substrate away from and opposite each other, and a discharge induction section located between these electrodes, wherein the discharge induction section is composed of a porous body, in which micropores are discontinuously scattered, and has a hollow structure having at least one or more hollow sections.

The present invention is provided with a composite electronic device comprising an inductor element and an ESD protection element formed between two magnetic substrates, wherein the inductor element includes insulation layers made of a resin, and spiral conductors formed on the insulation layers, the ESD protection element includes a base insulation layer, a pair of gap electrodes arranged via gap formed therebetween on the base insulation layer, and an ESD absorbing layer arranged at least between the gap electrodes, and a gap protection layer provided on at least one of the upper side and lower side of the gap, the ESD absorbing layer includes a composite material having an insulation inorganic material and a conductive inorganic material discontinuously dispersed in a matrix of the insulation inorganic material. The gap protection layer is made of resin including magnetic powder and carbon.

Composite electronic device

The present invention is provided with a composite electronic device comprising an inductor element and an ESD protection element formed between two magnetic substrates, wherein the inductor element includes insulation layers made of a resin, and conductor patterns formed on the insulation layers, the ESD protection element includes a base insulation layer, a pair of electrodes arranged via gap formed therebetween on the base insulation layer, and an ESD absorbing layer arranged at least between the electrodes, and the ESD absorbing layer includes a composite material having an insulation inorganic material and a conductive inorganic material discontinuously dispersed in a matrix of the insulation inorganic material.

Composite electronic device, manufacturing method thereof, and connection structure of composite electronic device

An ESD protection device that has low capacitance, excellent discharge characteristics, and improved heat resistance and weather resistance is provided. A functional layer, which is a composite having a conductive inorganic materialdiscretely dispersed in a matrix of an insulating inorganic material, is disposed between electrodesanddisposed on an insulating substrateand facing but spaced apart from each other.

A composite electronic device includes first and second magnetic substrates, and a functional layer sandwiched between these magnetic substrates, and the functional layer is configured by a common-mode filter layer and a ESD protection element layer. An electrostatic capacitance of the ESD protection elements is equal to or lower than 0.35 pF. The common-mode filter layer includes a first spiral conductor formed on an insulation layer, and a second spiral conductor formed on an insulation layer. DC resistance of a common mode filter is equal to or higher than 0.5&#x3a9; and equal to or lower than 5&#x3a9;, and an electrostatic capacitance of the ESD protection elements is equal to or lower than 0.35 pF. A width W and a length L of the first and second spiral conductors satisfy a relational equation expressed by &#x221a;(L/W)&#x3c;(7.6651&#x2212;fc)/0.1385.

Composite electronic device and digital transmission circuit using thereof

The present invention is provided with a composite electronic device comprising an inductor element and an ESD protection element formed between two magnetic substrates, wherein the inductor element includes insulation layers made of a resin, and spiral conductors formed on the insulation layers, the ESD protection element includes a base insulation layer, a pair of gap electrodes arranged via gap formed therebetween on the base insulation layer, and an ESD absorbing layer arranged at least between the gap electrodes, and the ESD absorbing layer includes a composite material having an insulation inorganic material and a conductive inorganic material discontinuously dispersed in a matrix of the insulation inorganic material. The gap of the ESD protection element is provided at exterior of the spiral conductor so as not to be overlapped with the spiral conductor in view of a laminating direction.

The present invention provides an ESD protection device and the like having improved durability against repeated use. An ESD protection device includes a base having an insulating surface, electrodes disposed on the insulating surface and facing but spaced apart from each other, and a functional layer disposed on at least between the electrodes. The electrodes have a multistage structure in which a gap between the electrodes is narrower toward the base.

ESD protection device and composite electronic component of the same

An object of the present invention is to provide an ESD protection device and the like which offer a reduced discharge starting voltage and improved durability against repeated use. The present invention provides an ESD protection device including a basehaving an insulating surface, electrodesanddisposed on the insulating surfaceand facing but spaced apart from each other, and a functional layerdisposed on at least between the electrodesand, wherein the gap distance &#x394;G between the electrodesandranges from 0.5 &#x3bc;m to 10 &#x3bc;m, and the thickness &#x394;T of each of the electrodesandmeets a relationship of &#x394;G/&#x394;T=1 to 30.

A ferrite material of the present invention is configured such that 0.05 to 1.0 wt % of bismuth oxide in terms of BiO, 0.5 to 3.0 wt % of tin oxide in terms of SnO, and 30 to 5000 wt ppm of chromium oxide in terms of CrOare added to a predetermined main component mixture composition. Therefore, it is possible to achieve an improvement in DC bias characteristics, an improvement in temperature characteristics of initial magnetic permeability, and an improvement in resistivity and further achieve an improvement in burned body strength, particularly in burned body flexural strength (bending strength).

Ferrite material and electronic component using the same

A ferrite material having a high Q value and also having a small absolute value of &#x3b1;&#x3bc;ir in a wide temperature range between &#x2212;40&#xb0; C. and 160&#xb0; C. A ferrite material, which comprises, as main constituents, 45.5 to 48 mol % of FeO, 5 to 10.5 mol % of CuO, 26 to 30 mol % of ZnO, and the balance substantially being NiO, and further comprises, as an additive, cobalt oxide within a range between 0.005 and 0.045 wt % in terms of CoO. The ferrite material of the present invention has properties such as each of the absolute value of &#x3b1;&#x3bc;irand the absolute value of &#x3b1;&#x3bc;irof 3 ppm/&#xb0; C. or less, and a Q value at 125 kHz of 170 or more.
