An audio apparatus includes: a connector that supports a multipolar plug including a plurality of plug terminals, the connector having a plurality of connector terminals including an input terminal of an audio collection section and an output terminal that outputs a noise canceling signal; a signal amplification section that amplifies a combined signal generated by combining the noise canceling signal and a reproduction audio signal, the signal amplification section being provided on an audio signal line that connects the input terminal and the output terminal; a detection section that detects whether the multipolar plug is inserted or pulled out by detecting change of voltage of a voltage supply line connected to the audio signal line; and a suppression section that suppresses output from the signal amplification section when the multipolar plug is pulled out but does not suppress the output when the multipolar plug is inserted.

Audio apparatus

A head-mount type display device has a first display unit for left eye, a second display unit for right eye, a guide that guides the first and second display units to slide them in a longitudinal way, and an adjustment mechanism that adjust a distance between the first and second display units. The adjustment mechanism includes a revolving member having a shaft, a left-side arm having a first end that rotatively connects the first display unit and a second end that rotatively connects the revolving member, and a right-side arm having a third end that rotatively connects the second display unit and a fourth end that rotatively connects the revolving member. When the revolving member revolves around the shaft, the first and second display units slide by a same distance from the shaft in the longitudinal way along the guide.

Adjustable head-mount type display device

A transmitter for modulating an externally supplied audio signal according to a predetermined modulation system and for transmitting an obtained modulation signal includes a modulator for modulating the audio signal according to the modulation system; a balance convertor for converting the modulation signal in an unbalanced mode generated by the modulator into a balanced mode; and an antenna having a predetermined length formed by a leakage transmission line, the antenna emitting the modulation signal converted into the balanced mode.

An electro-acoustic transducer having a main body portion 4 housing at least a speaker unit, a pinna inserting portion 5 protruding from the main body portion and adapted for being inserted into a pinna of a user, an elastically deformable auditory canal fitting portion 12, 51 provided on the outer periphery of the pinna inserting portion and an insertion control portion 46, 52 for controlling an insertion position of the auditory canal fitting portion 12, 51 into the auditory canal. By inserting the pinna inserting portion 5 into the pinna, the auditory canal fitting portion 12, 51 is deformed to conform to the shape of the auditory canal and fitted in the auditory canal in this state for hermetically sealing the auditory canal. The insertion control portion 46, 52 is retained by a portion of the pinna for controlling the inserting position of the auditory canal fitting portion 12, 51 in the auditory canal. The electro-acoustic transducer may be attached in a stable state with optimum attachment feeling for any user to enable the playback sound to be heard with satisfactory acoustic characteristics.

Electro-acoustic transducer

A headphone includes an acoustic pipe, a loudspeaker unit, a microphone unit and a feedback circuit. The acoustic pipe has an inner diameter substantially equal to that of an external auditory canal. The acoustic pipe has a mounting portion provided at an end thereof for being mounted on the outer ear and has an acoustically non-reflective end at the other end thereof. The loudspeaker unit is provided on one side of the acoustic pipe with a sound emitting face thereof opposed to the inside of the acoustic pipe. The microphone unit is provided on the one side of the acoustic pipe with a sound collecting face thereof opposed to the inside of the acoustic pipe. The feedback circuit feeds back an output signal of the microphone unit to an input side of the loudspeaker unit. The feedback circuit includes an equalizing section. The output signal of the microphone unit is supplied to the loudspeaker unit by way of the equalizing section. The equalizing section has an open loop characteristic wherein an attenuation characteristic in a frequency band other than a frequency band in which noise can be canceled rises higher than an attenuation characteristic in the frequency band in which noise can be canceled.

A headphone apparatus includes a speaker unit accommodated in an accommodating member of an open-air type, a microphone disposed at a front side of the speaker unit, a circuit arrangement mounted on a circuit board in the speaker unit including a filter for lowering a level of a high frequency component of a signal picked up by the microphone, and a negative feedback loop for feeding back an output of the filter to the speaker unit to thereby lower the level of a low frequency component of circumference noise output from the speaker unit. This headphone apparatus further includes an equalizer having a frequency characteristic substantially opposite to that of the filter, wherein an input audio signal is added to the negative feedback loop through the equalizer and then output from the speaker unit.

Headphone apparatus for reducing circumference noise

An infrared-ray cordless microphone including a modulator for modulating an acoustic-to-electric converted sound signal through a predetermined process; and an infrared-ray transmitter for transmitting an output infrared signal obtained by converting the modulated sound signal from the modulator; wherein the infrared-ray transmitter is disposed at a lower end of the microphone body. There is also provided an infrared-ray cordless microphone system comprising such a microphone and a sound output means which includes an infrared-ray receiver for receiving the infrared signal from the microphone, a demodulator for demodulating the received infrared signal, and an electric-to-acoustic converter for converting the demodulated signal into a sound signal.

Microphone and microphone system

A wireless receiver has an FM receiver for receiving an infrared radiation modulated by an audio signal. The received infrared radiation is demodulated into the audio signal, which is then supplied through a power amplifier to a loudspeaker unit or a headphone unit. The wireless receiver includes a detector for detecting whether or not the infrared radiation is received. An output signal from the detector is used to turn the power supply of the FM receiver and the power amplifier on or off. The user of the wireless receiver is not required to turn the receiver on and off manually.
