A battery module includes a plurality of battery sets in which first unit cells and second unit cells are adjacent to each other. In the first unit cell, a positive electrode terminal and a negative electrode terminal are oriented and extend in a first direction from a first end portion of a first main body. In the second unit cell, a positive electrode terminal and a negative electrode terminal are oriented and extend in a second direction opposite to the first direction from a first end portion of a second main body. Then, in the battery set, at least a part of the first main body and the second main body overlap and are in contact with each other. Further, a heat conductive material that conducts heat from the first unit cell or the second unit cell is in contact with the battery set.

Provided is a locomotive performance testing apparatus capable of testing the locomotive performance of a test subject while keeping the test subject at a suitable position on a treadmill. According to the locomotive performance testing apparatus (), a robot () is moving its legs () toward a second direction on a plurality of endless belts () which are rotationally driven by a plurality of motors (), respectively. In this situation, a positional deviation or the like of the robot () from a first desired position in a first direction different from a second direction is determined as a first deviation. Moreover, motions of the plurality of motors () are individually controlled to offset the first deviation.

Locomotive performance testing apparatus

Provided is a testing apparatus capable of testing locomotive performance of a robot while harmonizing motions of the apparatus with that of the robot. According to the locomotive performance testing apparatus (), a motor working plan is made on the basis of a robot motion plan, and a motor () is driven according to the motor working plan. As a result, an alteration pattern of a driving velocity of an endless belt () can be controlled according to an alteration pattern of a moving velocity of a robot () whose locomotive performance is being tested on the endless belt (). Moreover, a motion tempo of the endless belt () and a motion tempo of the robot () are so harmonized that the former tempo may approach the latter tempo, and the locomotive performance of the robot () can be stably tested in that state.

In a system for driving a mobile robot having a body, a plurality of legs each comprising a thigh link and a shank link, a first electric motor and a second motor for driving the thigh link in a forwarding direction, a power line connecting a power source to the first and the second motors, and a motor driver that supplies drive voltage to the first and second motors, a booster that boosts the drive voltage to be supplied to the first and second motors is provided such that the booster and the motor driver are installed in the thigh link where the first and second motors are installed, thereby enabling to satisfy both the low-voltage demand and high-voltage demand and to supply drive voltage to the motors effectively.

Driving system for mobile robot

An apparatus is capable of charging a battery mounted aboard a robot while avoiding an unstable posture of the robot caused by a power feeding connector coming into contact to a power receiving connector of the robot. A battery charger of the present invention performs control to move the power feeding connecter to connect with the power receiving connector of the robot in a standing posture, so that a moment generated about a target zero moment point (ZMP) of the robot falls within a range of the moment of floor reaction force generatable about the target ZMP.
