According to some embodiments, transaction information associated with payments made via a payment account may be retrieved from a transaction database. The retrieved transaction information may then be analyzed to automatically determine periodic payment information (e.g., associated with a subscription or membership) associated with the payment account. The automatically determined periodic payment information may then be output. For example, a predicted next periodic payment due date might be calculated and output.

At an intermediate node in a payment card processing network, clearing records are obtained for payment card transactions with a merchant which sells eligible wares and ineligible wares. Said clearing records specify, for each of said transactions, a total transaction amount and information representative of an amount associated with said eligible wares. At least a portion of said clearing records are stored in a first database accessible to said intermediate node in said payment card processing network, by transaction. Said first database is queried on payment card account number and, for said payment card account number, at least said information representative of an amount associated with said eligible wares is collected. A method and a system are provided for identifying optimal rewards programs. The method involves retrieving from one or more databases a first set of information comprising payment card holder transaction information including at least purchasing activities and optionally payment activities attributable to the payment card holder, and retrieving from one or more databases a second set of information comprising a plurality of rewards programs. One or more predictive behavioral spend profiles are generated based on the first set of information. The one or more predictive behavioral spend profiles and the second set of information are then analyzed to identify one or more correlations between the one or more predictive behavioral spend profiles and the plurality of rewards programs. Targeted information, based on the one or more correlations, is provided to one or more entities (e.g., payment card holder or merchant).

Method and system for identifying optimal rewards programs

A method for linking forensic data to transaction history includes: storing a plurality of consumer profiles, each profile including data related to a consumer including a consumer identifier associated with the related consumer and a plurality of transaction data entries, each entry including data related to a payment transaction involving the consumer including transaction data; receiving a forensic profile, the profile including forensic data obtained from a computing device; identifying a correspondence between the received forensic data and transaction data included in the stored transaction data entries to obtain a specific consumer identifier; identifying a specific consumer profile where the included consumer identifier corresponds to the specific consumer identifier; and transmitting at least the transaction data included in one or more transaction data entries included in the identified specific consumer profile.

Method and system for linking forensic data with purchase behavior

A computer implemented method for creating merchant profiles based on check transactions is provided. The method uses a computing device having a processor communicatively coupled to a memory. The method includes receiving a plurality of payment transactions including payment by a check where each payment transaction includes plurality of fields from the associated check that include at least a payee field, an address field, and a memo field, generating a list of unique merchants based in part on the payee fields of the plurality of payment transactions, generating two or more merchant profiles, and determining one or more connections between two or more merchant profiles in the plurality of merchant profiles. Each connection represents a relationship or association between two or more merchant profiles. The method also includes storing the one or more connections and the two or more merchant profiles.

Systems and methods for determining enhanced merchant identification

A method and a system are provided for identifying payment card holder hobbies or interests. The method includes retrieving from one or more databases a first set of information comprising payment card transaction information, payment card holder information and merchant information. The method further includes analyzing the first set of information to construct one or more groupings of merchants based on merchant line of business or merchant association with a hobby or interest; analyzing the first set of information to identify one or more payment card holder purchase behaviors; and associating the one or more payment card holder purchase behaviors with the one or more groupings of merchants to identify one or more payment card holder hobbies or interests. The method and system provide advantages in fraud prevention, and can also be used by merchants or businesses to better target customers or enhance existing customer relationships.

Method and system for identifying payment card holder interests and hobbies

A communication channel is provided between a transaction acquirer and a payment network, for the purpose of transmitting payment card account transaction authorization requests. Via the communication channel the payment network may receive a message containing additional information. The additional information may originate at the point of sale and may be in addition to a PAN (primary account number) or the like. The payment network may send a message including the additional information to an entity that is neither a payment account issuer nor the transaction acquirer.

A method and system for verifying cardholder compliance or non-compliance with a mandated services requirement by a third party using a payment card payment card network coupled to a database are provided. The method includes receiving sets of predetermined parameters that each define a transaction for one or more mandated services, receiving, by the computer device, transaction data for a plurality of transactions, determining, by the computer device, transactions for one or more mandated services from the plurality of received transactions using the received sets of parameters, summarizing the transaction data from the determined transactions, and transmitting the summarized transaction data to the third party, the summarized transaction data demonstrating cardholder compliance or noncompliance with the mandated services requirement.

The method involves retrieving, from one or more databases, a first set of information including purchasing and payment activity information attributable to one or more payment card holders; retrieving, from one or more databases, a second set of information including merchant information associated with the purchasing and payment activity; retrieving, from one or more databases, a third set of information including sales technique information; analyzing the first set of information and the second set of information to generate one or more predictive payment card holder profiles; and correlating the one or more predictive payment card holder profiles with the sales technique information to identify payment card holder preference for the certain sales technique. A system for identifying payment card holder preference for a certain sales technique is also provided.

Method and system for sales strategy optimization

A system for correlating customer payment card purchases and contemporaneous weather conditions. The system comprises a first data storage device containing payment card transaction data and a second data storage device comprising historic weather data. A processor is provided and configured to identify correlations between payment card transactions and weather conditions contemporaneous to the transactions or otherwise associated therewith.
