An agricultural baler including a chassis, an axle system, a main bale chamber carried by the chassis, and a tying assembly configured for tying a twine around a bale within the main bale chamber. The tying assembly includes a plurality of knotters supported by the chassis, a needle yoke having a plurality of needles coupled thereto, an upper tensioner device, and a lower tensioner device located underneath the upper tensioner device. The axle system includes a first axle, and the lower tensioner device is attached to the first axle and correspondingly moves with the first axle.

Arrangement of twine tensioners for an agricultural baler

A baler including a needle yoke driven via a needle coupling device including a connection member pivotally mounted around a fixed pivot axis for swinging around the fixed pivot axis. The swinging corresponds to movement of the needle yoke. The connection member is cooperative with the needle yoke by (i) a shearbolt adapted to transfer a force from the connection member to the needle yoke during a forward movement and (ii) by a protrusion, formed at one of the connection member and the needle yoke, to abut against the other one of the connection member and the needle yoke during a backward movement of the needle yoke.

Baler with needle overload protection

A knotter system for a baler includes a needle and a tucker arm for delivering a needle twine and tucker twine respectively, a twine receiver for holding the needle and the tucker twine, a billhook assembly including a billhook with a lower and an upper lip being mounted rotatably around an axis and being arranged for receiving the needle and the tucker twine, a twine finger for guiding the twine. Further, a driver is foreseen to make the billhook perform a first full rotation during the first knot forming cycle and a second full rotation during the second knot forming cycle. The knotter system is configured such that, at the end of the second knot forming cycle, a bale movement of a bale in the baler exerts a pulling force on the twines which removes the twines from the billhook.

Knotter system for a baler

An agricultural baler includes a main bale chamber, a bale ejection system and a partial bale ejection system. The partial bale ejection system, incorporated in the floor of the main bale chamber, is arranged to move and eject a rearward bale proximate to the outlet of the main bale chamber. The partial bale ejection system having an actuator for moving the rearward bale and at least one tine that is pushed into the rearward bale prior to the actuator pushing the rearward bale alone toward and out the outlet.

A baler including a bale chamber; a plunger configured to compress crop material in the bale chamber in order to form a bale; a needle yoke with a plurality of needles configured to deliver twine through the bale chamber; a plurality of knotters configured to receive the twine from the plurality of needles; a bale length measurement and trigger device configured to measure the length of the bale in the bale chamber and to generate a trigger when a predetermined length is reached; a driving shaft located above the bale chamber and extending in a traverse direction of the baler; a needle coupling device between the driving shaft and the needle yoke, the needle coupling device being configured for moving the needle yoke from a rest position to a twine delivery position and back, when the bale length measurement and trigger device generates a trigger.

A baler including a bale chamber; a plunger to compress crop material in the bale chamber to form a bale; a plurality of knotters; a needle yoke with a plurality of needles to deliver a plurality of lower strands through the bale chamber to the plurality of knotters; a tucker arm shaft carrying a plurality of tucker arms to deliver a plurality of upper strands to the plurality of knotters; a driving shaft located above the bale chamber and extending in a traverse direction of the baler; wherein the tucker arm shaft extends parallel to the driving shaft; a tucker arm coupling device to covert the rotation of the driving shaft into a rotation of the tucker arm shaft; a needle coupling device to convert a rotation of the driving shaft into a movement of the needle yoke from a rest position to a twine delivery position and back.

A knotter system has a billhook; a twine receiver; a twine delivering system for delivering twines across the billhook to the twine receiver; a swing arm having a lower end portion with a knife blade, moveable below the billhook, a first drive to make the billhook perform at least a first and a second full rotation to move the swing arm two times from a backward to a forward position and back to form respectively a first and second consecutive knot; wherein the twine receiver comprises a rotatable twine disc and a twine holder adapted to clamp twines against the twine disc; wherein said twine disc is provided with at least a first and a second notch for receiving the twines, and a protruding ridge located after the second notch, such that the twine holder is pushed by the ridge during and/or after the formation of the second knot.

Knotter system having an improved twine receiver

An agricultural baler includes a main bale chamber, needles, knotters, a triggering system, a knotter lock, a blow-off mechanism, and a monitoring system. The needles are coupled to the main bale chamber and thread twine around a formed bale. The knotters receive the twine from the needles and tie the twine. The triggering system is for activating the needles and the knotters. The knotter lock is a manual lock of the triggering system thereby preventing the needles and the knotters from being triggered. The blow-off mechanism directs a flow of air at the knotters and the needles. The monitoring system has a single sensor that provides signals indicating a normal operation of the knotters, and whether the knotter lock is engaged.
