A push button for mounting on an electronic device is disclosed. The electronic device includes a shell defining a hole, and a circuit board received in the shell. The push button includes a pressing member, a switch and a lever. The depressing member is received in the hole. The switch is received in the shell and connected to the circuit board. The switch is configured to be misaligned with the hole. The lever includes a spring arm and an body pivotally connected to the shell. When pressed, the depressing member pushes the lever to rotate from the first position to a second position where the other end of the body of the lever actuates the switch. The disclosure also provides the means of incorporating the push button into a device.

Push button and electronic device having same

A combination input unit comprises a printed circuit board, a press key, a retaining bracket, a light transmissive rotary dial, and a housing. The printed circuit board accommodates an encoder circuit, a plurality of contacts, and a plurality of light sources. The press key is disposed above the contacts, and comprises a flange thereof. The retaining bracket is fitted over the press key and connects the press key to the printed circuit board. The light transmissive rotary dial is rotatably fitted over the press key. The rotary dial is positioned above the encoder circuit, comprises at least one elastic piece for resiliently pressing the encoder circuit, and a reflective surface. Light emitted by the light sources are reflected by the reflective surface, thus to illuminate the whole rotary dial. The housing receives the press key, the rotary dial, and the printed circuit board.

Combination input unit

A push button switch includes a light emitter, a switch, a base, a light guiding member and a button. The light emitter and the switch are arranged on the circuit board. The base is arranged above the switch. The light guiding member and the button are mounted on the base. The light guiding member includes a first end, a second end, a first reflective surface, and a second reflective surface, the first end being arranged above the light emitter, wherein light from the light emitter enters into the light guiding member from the first end, and goes to the second end after being reflected by the first reflective surface and the second reflective surface.

Push button switch

An electronic device includes a semitransparent housing and a light module. The light module is mounted in the housing, and includes a light source, a light guide, and a light tight shield. The light guide includes a logo. The light tight shield covers the light guide, and defines an opening aligned with and exposing the logo to the housing. Light emitted by the light source illuminates the logo through the light guide and spreads out from the opening. The logo is not visible when not being illuminated.
