A magnetic cycloid gear assembly includes an outer magnet drum comprising a plurality of outer drum magnets having a first number of magnetic pole pairs. The assembly also includes a first inner magnet drum comprising a first plurality of inner drum magnets having a second number of magnetic pole pairs. The assembly also includes a second inner magnet drum comprising a second plurality of inner drum magnets having a third number of magnetic pole pairs. Each of the first and second inner drums has an inner magnet drum axis that is offset from an outer magnet drum axis. The assembly further includes a plurality of drive mechanisms, each mechanism being operatively coupled to each of the first and second inner drums. The plurality of drive mechanisms is configured to drive each of the first and second inner magnet drums to revolve in an eccentric manner about the outer drum axis.

Radial magnetic cycloid gear assemblies, and related systems and methods

A packer assembly for sealing about a subsea riser is provided. The subsea riser is operatively connectable between a surface platform and subsea equipment. The packer assembly includes a packer housing and at least one packer. The packer housing is positionable about a telescoping assembly. The telescoping assembly operatively connects the subsea riser to the surface platform. The packer(s) are positionable along an inner surface of the packer housing to form a seal with the telescoping assembly and include a plurality of packer segments. Each of the packer segments has male and female connectors on each end thereof matably connectable to the male and female connectors of another of the segments to form a seal connection therebetween. The seal connection defines a non-linear leak path whereby leakage of fluid between the plurality of segments is resisted.

A method for treating material, the material contaminated with contaminants, the method including: introducing material with contaminants to a system for remediation including a thermal treatment system, a quench system, a weir tank system and a condensing system; feeding a slurry of the material to the thermal treatment system and heating the material therein producing heated discharge solids and a discharge stream with liquid and solids therein; optionally, discharging the heated discharge solids and feeding them to a mill system; feeding the discharge stream to a quench system producing a cooled discharge stream which is fed to the weir tank system; the weir tank system having a clean side and a dirty side; the cooled discharge stream fed to the dirty side of the weir tank system, and from the weir tank system producing at least one stream of cleaned liquid and a stream with contaminants therein; and, in one particular aspect, remediating drilled cuttings material using such a method.
