A sprinkler assembly () includes a (plastic) sprinkler frame () and a deflector assembly () circumferentially disposed about the sprinkler frame. The deflector assembly includes a receiver portion (), a deflector member (), and at least one extension member () to space the deflector member from the receiver portion. The at least one extension member is peripheral with respect to the receiver portion and the deflector member. The sprinkler assembly can be configured with the deflector assembly translating with respect to the sprinkler frame. Alternatively, the deflector assembly can be fixed with respect to the sprinkler frame.

Fire protection sprinkler assembly

A sprinkler assembly including a sprinkler frame having a proximal portion, a distal portion and an internal surface defining an internal fluid passageway having an inlet and an outlet extending axially to define a central sprinkler axis of the frame. The distal portion includes a plurality of surfaces to define a pair of chambers disposed about the passageway. The sprinkler assembly includes a seal assembly and a lever assembly having a first configuration to support the seal assembly and a second configuration to release the seal assembly. The lever assembly includes a pair of lever members in which each has lever member h a first end. In the first configuration, the first end forms a frictional engagement within a chamber to support the seal assembly in an unactuated state of the sprinkler frame.

Fire protection sprinkler trigger assembly

A pendant sprinkler preferably includes a body having an inner surface defining a passageway. The passageway includes an inlet and an outlet spaced apart along the longitudinal axis and defines a K-factor of about 5. The sprinkler also includes a closure assembly adjacent the outlet to occlude the outlet and a thermally responsive support means for maintaining the closure assembly adjacent the outlet. Also provided are means for distributing a flow of fluid over a protection area ranging from about 144 square feet to about 400 square feet, the fluid distribution having a density of at least 0.05 gallons per minute per square foot (0.05 gpm/ft) so as to define a range of minimum operating pressures ranging from about seven pounds per square inch to about seventeen pounds per square inch (7-17 psi.) and a range of minimum operating fluid flows ranging from about thirteen gallons per minute to about twenty gallons per minute (13-20 gpm.). The sprinkler preferably includes a thermally responsive plate means for maintaining a minimum spacing between the outlet and the means for distributing.

Residential flat plate concealed sprinkler

A pendent type residential fire sprinkler is described. The residential fire sprinkler has a body with a K-factor of at least 6 passage coupled to a deflector assembly that distributes fluid flowing through the passage over a coverage area to perform in accordance with Underwriters Laboratory Standard 1626 (October 2003) for listing by Underwriters Laboratory Incorporated so that the body and a heat responsive trigger disposed between the passage and the deflector assembly of the sprinkler can be installed in accordance with the 2002 Edition of National Fire Protection Association Standards 13, 13D, and 13R. Various aspects of the residential fire sprinkler, including a method of protecting a residential dwelling unit are described.
