A utility bag having a closure arrangement coupled with opposing first and second panels of the utility bag. The first closure member coupled to the first panel at about an entrance of the utility bag. The first closure member includes a pair of parallel bulbous elements which form a longitudinal channel parallel to the entrance of the utility bag. A second closure member includes a third bulbous element having an interfacing surface complementary with an interfacing surface of the longitudinal channel to form an overlapping closure arrangement. Counterpart strips of hook/loop fasteners coupled to complementary interfacing surfaces associated with the first and second closure members are used to maintain the utility bag in a closed state. The bulbous elements may be formed from deformable materials disposed in sleeves which surround the entrance to the utility bag.

Utility bag

A hermetic package for electronic components which is made of metallic silicon is disclosed. The package includes a plurality of silicon elements which are bonded together. In the first embodiment, a cavity is hollowed out in the cover to house the Application Specific Integrated Circuit oscillator and the resonator. In a second embodiment, the cavity is formed in the base member with a plurality of pedestal shelves to hold the resonator above and out of contact with the electrical circuitry for the oscillator and thermal controls.

A sink according to the present invention includes a sink basin having a bottom surface and a top surface with at least one side wall extending therebetween. The sink includes a divider that may be inserted into or removed from an interior area of the sink for selectively dividing the basin into multiple smaller compartments. An electromagnet is positioned beneath the bottom surface of the sink and is attracted to a ferrous material on the bottom of the divider for holding the divider securely when actuated. Channels defined by the sink side wall and other sealing components establish a watertight seal between compartments when the electromagnet is actuated. The electromagnet may be connected to the residential power source and may be activated by a user or, automatically, by a sensor. When the divider is removed, the larger single basin may be used for washing larger items.

A hermetic package for electronic components which is made of metallic silicon is disclosed. The package includes a plurality of silicon elements which are bonded together. A metallic layer of platinum or gold is bonded to an internal surface of the hermetically sealed enclosure. While either metallic layer may serve as a heating element by subjecting the electronic circuit connected thereto with a large current, the platinum layer can also be used as a thermal sensor by passing a lower current there through. An internal heater is included to stabilize the performance of the electronic components.

A hermetic package for electronic components which is made of metallic silicon is disclosed. The package creates a cavity for receiving the electronic component, preferably a piezoelectric device, which provides a evacuated environment in the range of 1&#xd7;10to 1&#xd7;10torr. In a first embodiment, the single crystal metallic silicon is p-doped to make it electrically conductive, obviating the need for lead wires which could compromise the hermeticity of the package. Silicon-to-silicon bonding is preferably accomplished using brazing of the cover to the base member using gold indium eutectic alloy at 495&#xb0; C. A method of making a surface mountable electronic component having an internal hermetic environment is also described.

A topology for a high speed voltage controlled oscillator (VCO) with quadrature outputs is produced utilizing four inverting differential circuits. The fully differential four stage ring oscillator has outputs from alternate delay circuits combined in balanced exclusive OR gate frequency doublers to provide both in-phase and quadrature output signals at twice the ring oscillator frequency. The period of the quadrature delay signals is four gate delays and is easily realized in the Ghz frequency ranges. The in-phase and quadrature output signals are again combined in a balanced exclusive OR gate frequency doubler to obtain a final output frequency quadruple the ring oscillator frequency.

A golf towel set is adapted for attachment to a golf bag or other article. The golf towel has a main towel and an accessory towel. The accessory towel is releasably attached to the main towel. A fastener can attach the main towel to the golf bag or other article.

A composite protective laboratory specimen bag (A) and method is illustrated which includes folded tubing (D) having a releasable lock (26) for forming a first fluid-tight compartment (B) for containing a laboratory specimen container. J-folded sheeting (E) with a reverse flip (46) forms a second compartment (C) for containing associated paper work. The tubing and sheeting are heat sealed together across a web (32) of the tubing to form a closed top composite bag with side mouth openings (24,48) for the compartments. A protective plate (62) avoids damage to the lock during the heat sealing step.

A voltage controlled oscillator (VCO) is stabilized against variations in output frequency resulting from changes in temperature or the power supply voltage by trimming the voltage controlled oscillator from a second master VCO which is connected into a phase lock loop. Each of the two voltage controlled oscillators has an output frequency which is a function of two inputs. The signal input to one control input of each of the VCO's is the output of the low pass filter in the phase lock loop. The VCO's may both be implemented by cross-coupled NOR gates with grounded capacitor inputs.

Stable voltage controlled oscillator

A switched capacitor type amplifier system including an operational amplifier is provided with compensating capacitive coupling during the non-sampling portion of the cycle from the output of the operational amplifier to its input, to avoid output discontinuities, and to provide compensation for the offset voltage of the operational amplifier. The circuit includes a two phase clock, with the signal input to the input capacitor being alternately sampled and blocked, and the capacitive compensation circuit mentioned above being alternately blocked and connected, respectively, during successive phases of the clock operation. Special circuitry for preventing 'clock feed-through' and for implementing a Multiplying Digital to Analog Converter, or MDAC, are disclosed.
