In an example, a laser system receives an externally generated single command. The single command may be selected from a set of commands usable to control a laser diode driver of the laser system. The laser system may determine whether to select a group of one or more commands from the set of commands. In response to a determination to select the group of the one or more commands from the set of commands, the laser diode driver may be controlled using the one or more commands of the group.

Described herein is a fiber laser coupler, comprising a fiber laser cable enclosed in a housing, the housing includes a circuit and a temperature sensitive variable resistance element (TSVRE) coupled to the circuit, wherein the TSVRE is in thermal contact with one or more locations within the housing and is configured to provide a resistance in the circuit associated with a temperature of the TSVRE, wherein the circuit is further configured to couple to a processor configured to determine a temperature of the TSVRE based on reading the resistance in the circuit.

Multifunctional circuit for monitoring fiber cable health

A plurality of capacitors is subjected to a test cycle of charging, soaking and discharging. While in the soaking cycle, a plurality of measurements of current is obtained. The data is used to train a predictive function. Then, a test capacitor is charged and soaked for a shorter period than the plurality of capacitors. The current through the test capacitor is measured more than once during its soak period, and the measured current values are applied to the predictive function to predict whether the current through the test capacitor at the end of the soak time period would be higher than a predetermined value, thus indicating failure of a leakage test by test capacitor.

Multivariate predictive insulation resistance measurement

An electrical test system for providing a power source to each of a plurality of electrical components under electrical test includes a grouped circuitry module. The grouped circuitry module includes a plurality of individually-programmable power sources, each coupled to an output channel, a controller configured to program each of the power sources to a respective stimulus output value and to read a measured value at each corresponding output channel and random access, non-volatile, memory for storing information and for providing read/write capability for the controller. A host computer is in communication with the controller for running a self test program that sequentially programs each of the power sources to its respective stimulus output value and reads the measured value at each corresponding output channel using the controller to determine if the tested complete subsystem is operating properly.

Self-testing, monitoring and diagnostics in grouped circuitry modules

An apparatus and method for measuring the leakage current of capacitive components. A switch that grounds a terminal of a component being tested is closed while the component is charged to a desired test voltage. When this charging is complete, the switch opens so that the diode terminal is at the same potential as the input amplifier's virtual ground. An accurate and fast measurement of the leakage current of the component can be measured.

An electronic testing machine includes a plurality of test modules. Each test module has a plurality of contact pairs for testing electronic components. An apparatus and process for electrical test setup and calibration of the electronic testing machine includes a plate having at least one contact per track movable between test positions to electrically insert a test device selectively between any one contact pair, and a control program. The test device can be selected from a group consisting of a volt meter, a current meter, a precision voltage/current source, a calibration resistor, and a calibration capacitor. The control program can perform at least one test function through the plate. The test function can be selected from a group consisting of alignment verification, voltage/current source verification, insulation resistance (IR) leakage measurement verification, part-present contact check verification, capacitance and dissipation (CD) measurement verification, IR/CD compensation, and IR/CD calibration.

Electrical tester setup and calibration device

A rotary capacitor electrical test system for providing a power source to a capacitor under electrical test can include at least one programmable voltage source, at least one programmable current source, and a controller for programming the voltage and current sources. Random access, non-volatile, memory can be provided for storing information and for providing read/write capability for the controller. At least one digital/analog converter can communicate between the controller and the programmable voltage and current sources. A diagnostic program is operable through the controller for testing internal integrity of basic input/output functions of at least some subsystems. A circuit health monitoring program can operate through the controller for periodically testing and determining internal integrity of at least some subsystems. A self test program can operate through the controller for determining if at least some internal subsystems are working properly on a test/fail basis.

Self test, monitoring, and diagnostics in grouped circuitry modules

A power distribution system for a rotary capacitor electrical tester includes a power source, an active station having plurality of test channels powered by the power source through cables connected to one side an upper contact module of the active station, and an opposition side a lower contact module of the active station being connectable to a test measurement device. A separate additional cable conductor inlet is located on the active station for receiving power from the power source. The power supplied through the extra additional cable is passed through the upper contact module of the active station without connecting to test channel and presents a power conductor outlet interface to a passive station immediately adjacent to the active station in order to reduce the number of cables required to connect between the power source and the various passive stations incorporated into the rotary capacitor electrical tester.
