The present disclosure relates to a drainage catheter and methods of use for providing catheterization procedures, such as during a percutaneous nephrostomy. The drainage catheter includes a body including a first tube segment and a second tube segment connected to one another at a curved end portion to form a continuous body structure. An inner surface of the curved end portion includes one or more drainage openings extending therethrough, with an outer surface of the curved end portion free of drainage openings. The openings are in communication with a lumen that extends through the drainage catheter to provide a pathway for removing fluid from the kidney. The drainage catheter is inserted into the kidney via a first insertion site and exits via a second insertion site.

Medical devices for delivering a plug to a void within a patient. The medical device can include a fluid delivery device and a plug holder (e.g., a plug delivery device) coupled to a distal end of the fluid delivery device. The medical device may be configured such that the delivery of fluid from the fluid delivery device wets the plug, ejects the plug from the plug holder, and pushes the plug through a lumen of an elongate tube to a void within a patient.

The macerating device comprises an expandable basket that is rotated to macerate the clot or blockage. The expandable basket is disposed at the distal end of the tubular shaft. The expandable basket comprises a plurality of struts that form a braiding pattern. The braiding pattern of the expandable basket comprises a pick per inch that ranges from 2 to 5.

An insertion device to assist in accessing an access port that has been subcutaneously implanted in the body of a patient is disclosed. The implanted access port is accessed by a needle of a needle assembly, such as a needle-based infusion set. The insertion device may include a body having a stabilizing portion and a guide portion. The stabilizing portion stabilizes a position of the implanted access port when the body is placed on the skin of the patient atop the implanted access port. The guide portion is designed to guide a needle of the needle assembly along a predetermined path such that the needle transcutaneously pierces a septum of the implanted access port.

Devices used to drain fluid are disclosed. The devices may be configured to drain fluid from a body cavity using a vacuum pressure. The devices include a reservoir and a vacuum generating member configured to expand the reservoir and generate a vacuum pressure within the reservoir. Medical devices including a cap for a medical connector are disclosed. In some embodiments, the cap comprises a disinfectant, such as an antiseptic fluid and an insert configured to seal or partially seal the medical connector as it is engaged with the cap. In some embodiments the cap insert has a segment which is deformable under axially applied pressure as an end-user attaches the cap to the medical connector. In some embodiments this insert is configured to improve the exposure of antiseptic to the outer surface of the medical connector while minimizing exposure of the antiseptic inside the medical connector open lumen.

Radial artery compression devices with an inflatable chamber and a substantially rigid frame are disclosed. The inflatable chamber of the radial artery compression devices can be inflated and then deflated according to a predetermined protocol. Some substantially rigid frames can form a wall of the inflatable chamber. Some substantially rigid frames can include indicia to facilitate positioning of the inflatable chamber relative to a puncture site of a patient.
