An absorbent article includes a belt placed around the waist of the wearer and an absorbent pad attached to the belt, wherein the pad includes a chassis having a topsheet, a backsheet and an absorbent core, wherein the absorbent pad is attached to a surface of the belt attaching arrangements provided on each corner of the front portion and the rear portion of the pad, wherein the waist elastic is provided at the waist portion of at least one of the front and rear portion and is movable between a contracted condition in which the topsheet and/or backsheet exhibit(s) pleats and a fully stretched condition in which the pleats of the topsheet and/or backsheet are fully stretched out, wherein the elastic force from said waist elastic is within the range of from 2 N to 7 N when the elastic is in the fully stretched condition.

An absorbent article having at least one belt part with a first end secured to the absorbent article, and a second end, wherein the belt part has a feature for cooperating with an application aid so that the belt and the application aid cooperate when guided under the user.

An absorbent article for disposable use having at least one pattern () in the form of a text, image or the like. A background layer () and at least one intermediate layer () are arranged behind the pattern (), in conjunction with which the intermediate layer or layers () exhibits or exhibit a first, essentially transparent state, and in conjunction with which the intermediate layer or layers () is or are transformed into a second, more opaque state when it or they is or are stretched.

Absorbent article comprising one or several patterns

A garment () includes an absorbent part () and a waist belt () which is attached directly or indirectly to the garment (). The belt () includes two belt-portions () which extend essentially in mutually opposite directions from the absorbent part () and which are intended to be fastened together around the wearer of the garment (). The handling properties and comfort properties of the garment have been greatly improved by using a belt () whose stiffness varies in the cross-direction thereof.

A method to produce an absorbent article using a blank, includes the following steps: folding the side-edge portions of the side parts of either the rear portion or front portion in towards the inner cover sheet over supports placed on the side parts of this portion and extending along the full length of this portion, folding the blank about a transverse line in the crotch portion so that the end edges of the front portion and rear portion come to lie edge-to-edge and so that the side-edge portions of the folded-in portion overlap the folded-in side-edge portions of the second portion; and welding together the overlapping side-edge portions of the side parts within the area of the supports by way of ultrasonic or thermal welding.

Method for producing diaper pants of the disposable type

An absorbent article has an elastic waist portion, an absorbent element (), and a liquid-impermeable outer layer () which is intended to enclose the absorbent element on at least that side thereof which faces away from the wearer during use of the article. The absorbent element () is in its entirety arranged on the second piece (). The liquid-impermeable outer layer () is breathable, at least over a portion of this which covers the absorbent element ().

An elasticized web has a gatherable substrate and a multi-strand elastic yarn affixed to the gatherable substrate at a plurality of fixation locations. So that the yarn can be affixed to the substrate without the use of an adhesive, the yarn is subjected to forces to create partial delamination of the yarn at the fixation locations and a portion of the gatherable substrate is caused to pass between the thus delaminated strands of the multi-strand elastic yarn. The elasticized web of the present invention is particularly suitable for use in disposable absorbent articles.

Elasticized web and a method and apparatus for its manufacture

An absorption article such as a pant diaper, having a liquid-permeable topsheet, a liquid-impermeable backsheet and an absorption body positioned therebetween, the article having a front end portion, a rear end portion, and a crotch portion lying therebetween, the rear end portion and the adjacent part of the crotch portion having a transverse elastic system, a rear leg elastic system which runs between the two longitudinal side edges of the article along the leg cutout of the article in the rear part of the crotch portion and crosses the crotch portion essentially parallel to the transverse center line of the article. The article has, on each side of the absorption body, a pocket for temporary storage of liquid, the extent of the pocket being limited by the longitudinal side edge of the absorption body, the transverse elastic system and the rear leg elastic system.

An absorbent product for men, having an absorption body () which tapers from a front section () of the product towards a crotch section () of the product and which is enclosed in a sheath including a liquid-tight layer () and a liquid-permeable layer (), both of which layers extend beyond the absorption body round about this and are mutually joined there. The absorption body () is arranged to extend, during product usage, from the front section of the product in the direction of the crotch section and is adapted to extend with its narrower end section to slightly below the penis of the user. On the liquid-permeable layer (), at the narrower end section of the absorption body, a liquid barrier () is applied, which is arranged to prevent urine emitted by the user from leaking from the surface of the absorption body towards the crotch region.

Absorbent article such as a diaper and an incontinence guard includes a pair of belt portions attached to the rear portion or alternatively to the front portion of the article. The belt portions are fastened together around the waist of the wearer, wherein the one belt portion carries a first fastener arrangement intended to be attached against the opposite belt portion. The front portion or alternatively the rear portion exhibits a second fastener arrangement intended to be attached to the belt portions in such a way that the article will assume a pantlike shape, where the belt portions form a part of the waist portions of the pant. The belt portions are attached to the rear portion or alternatively to the front portion of the article via first elastic side panels arranged on the article. The front portion or alternatively the rear portion of the article has second elastic side panels to which the second fastener arrangement is attached.

Absorbent article, such as a diaper and an incontinence guard, comprising a liquid-pervious topsheet ( ), a liquid-impervious backsheet ( ), and an absorbent body ( ).
