A rear seat assembly of a passenger cabin of a pick-up truck includes a rear seat cushion and a rear seat back, each rotatable such that a bottom surface of the rotated rear seat back can rest upon a rear end of the rotated seat cushion to provide a storage space beneath the rotated seat back and between the rotated seat cushion and a rear wall of the passenger cabin. The cargo bed of the truck may be extended into the storage space by providing an access door thereto in a front wall of the cargo bed in communication with a corresponding opening in the rear wall of the passenger cabin.

Flip seat arrangement having upper seat back pivot

A convertible cargo bed cover can function as both a tonneau cover and a cargo bed cap. The cover is raised by motorized elements to be substantially aligned with a roof of a passenger cabin of the vehicle. Side and rear window panels stored inside the cover can be installed to transform the cover to a cap to enlarge available enclosed cargo space. Rear pillars are installed at the rear corners of the tonneau cover in its raised position to complete the installation.

Convertible cover arrangement for vehicle cargo area

A stowable vehicle seat assembly and a method of manufacturing a stowable vehicle seat. More specially, the stowable seat includes a bottom assembly forming the lower portion of a vehicle seat, and a rear assembly forming the back portion of the vehicle seat. In the stowed configuration, the bottom assembly and rear assembly are uncoupled, each folding to form a substantially flat subassembly easily stowed and fixed against a vehicle floor adjacent one another.

A seating arrangement for a motor vehicle includes a lower seat cushion for supporting a vehicle occupant. The seating arrangement further includes a floor pan. The floor pan is preferably contoured to cooperate with the lower seat cushion. More particularly, the floor pan includes a lower portion and a raised portion. The raised portion includes an upper surface which is concavely curved in each of a lateral and longitudinal direction. The lower seat cushion is attached directly to the floor pan.

There is illustrated and described herein a modular carpet arrangement for use on a vehicle underbody, including a pair of vapor barriers, each with a plurality of projections formed thereon and mountable on opposite sides of the underbody, a longitudinal carpet segment mountable on the center section of the underbody, a pair of longitudinal carpet segments mountable on oppositely disposed longitudinal edges of the underbody, and four reversible carpet segments, each with a plurality of holes formed therein and mountable in fore and aft pairs on the respective vapor barriers, with the holes fitted around the respective projections.

Automotive floor carpet arrangement

There is disclosed herein a utility/camper multiple purpose shell integrated with a pick-up truck frame and cab. The shell is adaptable (1) to being fully opened at the rear, (2) to having the roof thereof pivotally raised to permit standing room for a user, (3) to having flexible walls attached to the raised roof suitable for camping therein, and (4) to having the roof thereof lifted off of the front and side walls. The shell components are formed of light weight materials and bonded together.
