A system for attaching to the top end of a pole, such as a power pole supporting at least one power line. The system can include an extension bracket engaged to a top end of the pole and an extension bayonet extending from said extension bracket. A raptor perch assembly can be engaged to a top end of the extension bayonet. One or more accessories, such as a wireless antenna, can be attached to the extension bayonet below the raptor perch assembly. The accessories can be engaged to the extension bayonet via one or more accessory mounting brackets. A deflecting assembly can be positioned between the raptor perch assembly and the accessory to prevent debris dropped from the raptor perch assembly from lodging on the accessory. The deflecting assembly can be engaged to the extension bayonet and/or to the raptor perch assembly.

Pole top extension accessories and methods of using same

A raptor perch apparatus for use at the top of a power pole for raptors to perch and nest without contacting the power lines supported by the power pole. In a preferred embodiment, the apparatus comprises a hub bracket having a center member received over the top of the power pole and a plurality of socket-like lateral brackets extending outwardly from the center member to support a plurality of lateral support members extending outwardly from the pole, preferably at a slight upward angle. The proximal end of the lateral support members is received in the lateral brackets. A guy wire or the like is received through a ring member on an end cap at the distal end of each lateral support member to circumvent the distal ends thereof. If needed, a pole top extension can be used to raise the apparatus above the top of the power pole.

Raptor perch apparatus and system

A method and system for determining document content based actions. A rule engine is provided with a document to be acted on, preferably in XML format. The rule engine is also provided with a set of rules and associated actions to be taken upon special conditions. The document is evaluated according to the rules and the document contents; each of the rules is parsed into a parse tree, the document is further evaluated, including, for the provided document, populating the parse tree with at least a portion of the document contents, to create a content-populated parse tree. The portion of the actions to be initiated is selected based on the content-populated parse tree. Actions could include, by way of example, security control or further routing of the document.

Method and system for content-based document security, routing, and action execution

A push-type expanding mandrel apparatus that includes an expandable member with a tapered mandrel and a pushing member with a push rod. The body of the pushing member is held within a bore in a collet adapter that fits within the bore of a machine spindle, and the push rod enters a bore in the expanding member and tapered mandrel. Force applied to the back of the collet adapter is transferred to the pushing member at the interface of a tapered, inward facing shoulder in the bore of the collet adapter and a tapered hip on the body of the pushing member. As force is transferred to the pushing member, the push rod within the bore of the tapered mandrel exerts an outward force on the mandrel, causing leaves on the mandrel to expand outward and grip a workpiece from within a bore in the workpiece.

A fuse cutout assembly (21) including a containment housing (22), a fuse (23), a mounting assembly (24) mounting the fuse (23) in the housing (22) for electrical connection to an electrical circuit. A plunger assembly (29) is movably mounted at least partially inside the housing (22) and preferably surrounding the fuse (23). An electrical conductor (28) is electrically connected to the fuse (23) and mechanically connected to the plunger assembly (29). The plunger assembly (29) is supported in the housing (22) in a first position and is formed to be propelled inside the housing (22) away from the first position to a second position by the hot gases generated upon rapid melting of the fuse (23). Movement of the plunger assembly (29) is preferably yieldably resisted by the air trapped between the plunger assembly (29) and the housing (22), which may be vented during plunger movement. Additional venting (94) for excessive pressure buildup can be provided in the housing (22), and a method of containing the hot gases and metals generated during fuse melting and retaining the components of the cutout assembly (21) is also provided.
