A method and system for monitoring a level of liquid fuel in a tank having a known capacity, wherein the tank fluidly communicates with a fuel supply line through which the fuel is delivered in gaseous form. The method comprises measuring a flow rate of gaseous fuel flowing through the supply line, calculating an expended fuel volume based on the measured flow rate, and determining a remaining liquid fuel level in the tank based on the expended fuel volume and tank capacity. A delivery of liquid fuel to the tank is prompted in response to the remaining liquid fuel level.

Fuel tank level monitoring system and method

A repairable pressure relief valve having a valve body that forms an internal fluted surface provides improved field repairability. The internal, fluted surface is adapted to mate with a removal tool. A valve assembly is slidably mounted in the valve housing and slides under excess pressure to vent vapor from a vessel, such as a tank. The valve body has a first seating surface for mating with a second seating surface on the valve assembly when the valve plug is in the closed position. The relief valve has a seal for sealing an interface between the valve plug and the housing and a removable cap mounted proximate to the valve plug for mechanically supporting the seal. The cap can be removed and the seal can be replaced without extensive disassembly of the valve, thereby eliminating the requirement of re-calibration after a repair has been made.

Pressure relief valve with improved repairability

An in-line gas flow rate sensor includes a movable flow orifice and a fixed flow restrictor adjacent the flow orifice for changing the gas flow through the flow orifice. The flow orifice and the flow restrictor are formed so that each uniform increment of flow orifice movement provides a constant percent of flow change through the flow orifice. A magnet fixed to the movable flow orifice provides changing magnetic flux corresponding to each uniform increment of flow restrictor movement. A magnetic flux sensor responds to the changing magnetic flux and provides an output corresponding to a constant percent of flow rate changes.
