A method and system for detecting errors in indicated air speed of an aircraft. The method may include receiving current measured data values indicative of one or more of a pressure altitude, vertical speed, pitch attitude, and engine power of the aircraft by a computer, accessing a table having values of indicated air speed (IAS) corresponding to the current measured data values, and computing from the table and the current measured data values a current expected IAS, receiving current data values indicative of measured IAS of the aircraft, comparing the expected IAS data values to the measured IAS data values, and generating an alert signal when the expected IAS data values and measured IAS data values differ by a pre-set amount. The computer may include a software module that utilizes output from pre-existing on-board sensors, and may generate a signal to a crew alerting system.

Method and system for detecting errors in indicated air speed

A voice radio communication system prioritizes radio voice communications so that higher priority voice transmission is given precedence. The communication system comprises a transmitter that inserts a digital watermark into a voice communication. Software in a receiver decodes the digital watermark to determine a priority requested by the sender, and other information about the sender and the message. The software determines the message priority based on multiple factors. Voice transmissions are digitally recorded and played in order of priority. Options exist for the user to control the playback.

Voice messaging prioritization

A device for at least one of neural sensor placement and taking reference system measurements may include a front frame member supportable by a person's nose when the device is placed on the person's head for at least one of neural sensor placement, taking reference system measurements or for other purposes. A pair of sidebar frame members may be attached to opposite ends of the front frame member. Each sidebar frame member may be respectively supported by one of the person's ears when the device is placed on the person's head. A back frame member includes opposite ends that may be respectively attached to each of the sidebar frame members. An angle measurement apparatus may be attached to at least one of the sidebar frame members. An arched member may be pivotably attached at one end to the angle measurement apparatus to determine an angle of the arched member relative to the sidebar frame member. An opposite end of the arched member may be attached to another of the sidebar frame members. The arched member may be adapted to arch over the person's head when the device is placed on the person's head for at least one of neural sensor placement, taking reference system measurements or for other purposes.
