A compressor may include a shell, a terminal assembly, an electronics module, and a molded plug. The terminal assembly may engage the shell and may include an outwardly extending conductor and a terminal fence at least partially surrounding said conductor. The electronics module may include a back plate having an opening through which said terminal fence is received. The back plate may include flexible tabs and a spring element. The flexible tabs may removably engage the terminal fence. The spring element may contact the shell and bias the back plate away from the shell. The molded plug may engage the terminal fence and may engage the conductor for electrical communication between the conductor and the molded plug.

Compressor protection module

A compressor may include a shell, a terminal assembly and an electronics module. The terminal assembly may engage the shell and may include an outwardly extending conductor and a terminal fence at least partially surrounding the conductor. The electronics module may include a back plate having an opening through which the terminal fence may be received. The back plate may include an engagement feature and a spring element. The engagement feature may removably engage the terminal fence. The spring element may contact the shell and bias the back plate away from the shell.

An electronic device is provided that may include a housing and an electronic component disposed within the housing. The housing may include a plug configured to engage a terminal assembly extending from a compressor shell and facilitate electrical communication between the plug and the terminal assembly. An exterior surface of the housing may include one or more receptacles extending therethrough in electrical communication with the electronic component.

An adaptor may include a body portion and a conduit receptacle. The body portion may include a cross-member and first and second arms extending from the cross-member. The first and second arms may include first and second engagement features, respectively. The conduit receptacle may extend from the cross-member in a direction opposite the first and second arms and may include an aperture and a third engagement feature. The third engagement feature may retain an outer surface of a conduit. The conduit may receive and protect a plurality of wires transmitting electrical power to an electrically powered component.
