Systems and methods have been developed for implementation of a breath testing system for convenient sampling of intestinal gases exhaled from a patient's breath. This may include a system with a manifold that includes thermal regulation components, for instance thermistors and resistive heating elements, which maintain the temperature of the gases above the body temperature of the patient. In some examples, the system will determine an indication of whether a patient has SIBO by adjusting a change in exhaled hydrogen concentration by a methane level exhaled by a patient.

Breath gas analysis

The present disclosure provides, in part, a microfluidic apparatus for detecting target molecules. More specifically, the present disclosure relates to a protein microarray-integrated microfluidic system for detecting target molecules.

Microfluidic device

A sensor circuit usable with capacitive sensors in an electrical potential sensing network is provided. The sensor circuit provides bias current while maintaining a high input impedance for signals in a frequency band of interest by positive feedback of a filtered measurement through a finite impedance. The sensor circuits are suited for technologies such as, but not limited to electroencephalography (EEG), electromyography (EMG) and electrocardiograms (ECG). A neurofeedback system utilizing the capacitive conduction sensor is also described.

Ultra high impedance sensor with applications in neurosensing

There is described a sample holder and associated fluid container assembly for optical analysis of a fluid sample within a translucent container of the fluid container assembly. The sample holder includes clamping members rotatably mounted to a frame for rotation, about parallel axes spaced apart from each other, between a container accepting position in which the clamping members are spaced apart from the translucent container, and an analysis position in the clamping members abut the translucent container. The clamping members each define an optical waveguide slot extending therethrough that is substantially aligned with the translucent container when the clamping members are disposed in the analysis position, to thereby provide optical access to the translucent container for optical analysis of the fluid sample therein.
