In some embodiments, a wastewater treatment system may reduce contaminants in water. A system may include one or more bioreactors which include a substrate that supports a biofilm. The bacteria used to form the biofilm may be selected to maximize the reduction of contaminants in water. Various components of the wastewater treatment system may be optimized to improve the efficiency and energy consumption of the wastewater system.

Bioremediation reactor system and method

An electronic transmission system and method for converting and transmitting transmissions to provide secure communication between a plurality of users and protect or secure content of each transmission by preventing unauthorized individuals from capturing and viewing or hearing the transmitted content in its entirety. The electronic transmission system breaks a transmission apart into a random plurality of pieces and randomly transmits each piece separately to a plurality of remote servers. If an unauthorized party tries to intercept and access an electronic transmission, they will not be able to capture the entire transmission and will not be able to recompile its actual content, but rather misleading content. A password or other suitable authentication requirement(s) authenticates the intended recipient and allows the original pieces to be retrieved and re-compiled for viewing or hearing.

A biasing device urging the second magnet towards the first magnet; wherein movement of the first magnet via the mover towards the second magnet moves the second magnet in a direction against the biasing device. A document encryption and decryption system and method for selectively encrypting and decrypting files and attachments, electronic mail, text messages, and any other items to protect or secure its contents by helping to prevent unauthorized individuals from viewing data in human-perceivable or readable form. The encryption and decryption system includes remote authentication to verify user credentials stored on a remote database hosted by a web server. The encryption system further includes remote deletion to automatically delete at least encrypted items stored on the user's computer, handheld or portable device, smartphone, tablet, and any other computer of any kind when enabled and logged onto a network. The encryption and decryption system includes selectively decrypting items by retrieving a decryption key and decrypting the item, and/or typing a decryption key if the item cannot be decrypted with the key, and/or sending an invitation to a recipient using the web server.

A sediment retention device including a water-permeable outer containment structure, a water-impermeable injection tube including an outlet disposed within the outer containment structure, and a flocculent treatment material disposed within the injection tube. The injection tube can include an agitation structure to promote mixing contaminated water with the treatment material. The encryption system further includes remote delete to automatically delete encrypted items stored on the user's computer, handheld or portable device, smartphone, and any other computing device of any kind when it logs onto a network if the user's computer or computing device is reported lost, stolen, or otherwise compromised. Decryption keys allow selective decryption of encrypted items that are on the computer or computing device of any kind. A Windows Communication Foundation service helps with authenticating the users with the encryption key and login process stored and processed by the web server.

An improved technique for the active control of various combustion devices. This improved technique employs a flame kernel pulse actuator which produces periodic flame kernels by a spark ignition of a stoichiometric air and fuel mixture upstream of the combustion chamber. The discrete flame kernels are convected in a duct of premixed fuel and air which produce discrete pressure oscillations due to the energy release as each discrete flame propagates. Because the source of the energy release is essentially a chemical reaction, the flame kernel pulse actuator is able to produce a substantial amount of energy release even at the high operating pressures which are often encountered in many operational environments. These pressure oscillations may be adjusted to suppress or augment any combustion induced pressure oscillations as well as act to modulate the mixing layer between the fuel and air, thus controlling the downstream combustion process. The flame kernel pulse actuator comprises an actuator housing, a secondary fuel injection system, and an igniter. The combination of the igniter and fuel injection system produces a plurality of discrete flame kernels which are convected downstream toward the combustion chamber. The present flame kernel pulse actuator further includes a pressure sensor which is positioned so as to measure the acoustic oscillations in the combustion chamber and a controller device which uses the output of the sensor to control the frequency, phase shift, and amplitude of the discrete flame kernels.
