A sliding door assembly includes a sliding door that is slidingly mounted to a top track via one or more top guide assemblies. The sliding door is also slidingly mounted to a bottom track. Each top guide assembly includes a top guide wheel that rotationally mounts to the top guide assembly and engages the top track to guide the sliding door. The guide wheel rotates relative to the top guide assembly about an axis that extends horizontally in a direction perpendicular to a direction of travel of the sliding door. The guide wheel also movably mounts to the top guide assembly so that the guide wheel moves upwardly and downwardly relative to the top guide assembly and sliding door to correct for any variation in the gap between the top and bottom tracks.

Self aligning top guide wheel for sliding doors

A sliding door assembly is disclosed for use in an environment where both sides of the door are useable. The door assembly includes at least one bottom roller mechanism fitted into a lower portion of a bottom rail. The bottom roller mechanism is adjustable and concealed within the bottom rail. The door assembly further includes at least one top roller mechanism fitted into an upper portion of a top rail. The top roller mechanism is concealed in the top rail.

Double-sided sliding door assembly

A top guide is disclosed for mounting an upper portion of a door panel assembly with respect to track. The top guide includes an integrally molded plastic mounting structure having connecting portions constructed and arranged to enable the mounting structure to be connected to a door panel assembly. The mounting structure also includes first and second roller mounting portions. First and second rollers are mounted for rotation on the first and second roller mounting portions. The first roller mounting portion is formed on a portion of the integrally molded plastic mounting structure which is resiliently biased to enable the first roller mounted thereon to be in biased engagement with one of the track surfaces when the top guide is mounted with respect to the track.

Top guide for sliding doors

A bi-fold door assembly which includes an overcenter spring-biased hinge assembly comprising first and second hinge members including first and second mounting positions fixedly connected with first and second door panels respectively, interengaging axially aligned hinge portions constructed and arranged to receive a hinge pin therethrough establishing a vertical hinge axis between the two door panels and a spring constructed and arranged to provide oppositely directed spring forces. Each spring is constructed and arranged with respect to the first and second hinge members so that the opposed spring forces provided by the spring are applied to the first and second hinge members to bias the first and second door panels into the closed position when the door panels are near the closed position and to bias the first and second door panels into the opened position when the door panels are near the opened position.

Bi-fold door system

A wheeled top guide for rolling movement of a door along an inverted U-shaped track includes a housing for mounting on the door with an upwardly extending axle and a roller thereon for rolling engagement with one side wall of the trace. A vertically oriented torsion member is seated in the housing and has a vertically extending elongated torsion rod having its lower end fixed on the housing, a horizontally extending arm having one end secured to the upper end of the torsion rod and extending away from the first shaft, and an upwardly extending axle adjacent the other end of the arm. A second roller on this axle is in rolling engagement with the other side wall of the track and is spaced from the first roller. The second roller and arm are resiliently displaceable about the longitudinal axis of the torsion rod towards the housing for insertion of the rollers into the track, and the resulting torque in the torsion rod produces a force biasing the arm and thereby the second roller to maintain the rollers in firm rolling contact with the side walls of the track.

Top guide with spring loaded wheel

A pivotable door assembly has stiles and rails which are coupled by brackets having side walls defining a channel opening at the outer ends thereof. Pivot inserts are seated in the brackets on one side of said door and include a body member slidably seated in the channel and a pivot member rotatably seated in the body portion and extending outwardly of said open outer end of said bracket for engagement with the floor and ceiling. The pivot inserts include adjustable fasteners seated in the body member and cooperating with the bracket for adjusting the position of said pivot insert along the length of said channel and thereby the length of the pivot member extending outwardly of the bracket. The body member is comprised of a base element and a movable element which seats the pivot member and is horizontally adjustable. A cover is desirably snap fit over the brackets.

Swing door pivot assembly

A roller assembly for a sliding door that slides along a track includes an anti-jump member engageable with the track to prevent the roller assembly from derailing. The roller assembly comprises a bracket adapted for attachment to the door, a roller mounting member slidably seated in the bracket, and a roller rotatably mounted on the roller mounting member for travel along the track. The anti-jump member is pivotably supported in and displaceably carried by the roller mounting member for movement between an extended operative position wherein an engagement portion on the lower end thereof rides in the track, and a retracted inoperative position, wherein the engagement portion is spaced upwardly from the track. The roller assembly is operable to slide the door with the anti-jump member in either the operative position or the retracted position.

A modular shelving system has a vertical stanchion for supporting load-bearing blocks. One end of each block fits into a T-shaped channel of the stanchion. A self-tapping screw threaded into the block engages the back wall of the channel and forces the block against the shoulders at the mouth of the channel. A pointed tip on the screw pierces the back wall of the channel to keep the block from moving along the channel. Shelf brackets of generally U-shaped cross section may be attached to the blocks and a back wall and support either end of a shelf plank in the channel formed by the U-shape. A curved washer fits between the U-shaped shelf bracket and a stanchion or a closet wall for alignment. In another embodiment, a separate shelf plank has its ends concealed and supported by such U-shaped shelf brackets and a diagonal rod connected to the wall. An end cap conceals the front corner of the shelf. Since the ends of the shelf plank are concealed in the U-shaped brackets, unfinished ends and poorly aligned ends on the shelf plank are acceptable. Shelf planks may be formed from a plurality of interlocking metal shelf slats.

Shelving system

A bottom door slide includes a bracket having mounting portions for mounting on a door and providing a channel opening at the lower end of the bracket. Slidably seated in the channel of the bracket is a slide guide having a guide portion extending below the bracket and having a lower end adapted to extend within an upwardly opening channel of an associated floor track. The guide portion provides a mounting recess spaced upwardly from the lower end in which is seated a slide block having an arcuate upper surface abutting the upper surface of the mounting recess and a lower surface adapted to ride on the upper end of the floor track. The slide block is slidable on the upper surface of the recess to align itself on the upper end of the floor track.

Bottom slide for doors

A frame assembly for fastening a stile onto a door panel comprises an edge frame member and a spring retainer. The edge frame member has a door panel channel which receives a door panel and a retainer channel which receives a retainer. The retainer channel has a heel and a shoulder projecting inwardly into the channel from opposite walls. The edge frame member also has a support edge which faces the door panel channel. The retainer has a U-shaped mounting end which snaps into the retainer channel, engaging the heel and the flange. A resilient deflection arm extends out of the channel away from the mounting end, contacts the supporting edge and bends outward into the door panel channel so that when a door panel is pressed into the door panel channel, it is resiliently engaged by the deflection arm which retains it in the door panel channel. A tongue on the mounting end locks into place behind the shoulder in the retainer channel to hold the retainer in the retainer channel.

Panel door frame assembly

An integral plastics body mounted on a corner connector for a door can serve as either a hanger or guide. As a hanger, the assembly supports the weight of a door for sliding along a horizontal overhead track having a downwardly extending L-shaped limb. If used as a guide with such a track, the plastics body can move vertically relative to the corner connector. Rigid posts extend upwardly from the body for encompassing opposite sides of the foot of the L-shaped limb on the track. A flexible finger extending upwardly from the body has a hook that fits over the top of the foot on the L-shaped limb for safely latching the plastics body to the track, thereby preventing toppling of the door. A tab on the finger permits it to be manually flexed to withdraw the hook from over the foot and release the plastics body from the track.

Sliding door top guide or hanger

A slider (41) for guiding the top of a sliding door (12) in a channel (42) comprises spaced cheeks (56) between which extends a rib (59) which engages one side of the channel, and flexible tongue (60) which flexes between the cheeks and is thereby biased into engagement with the other side of the channel. Another embodiment of door guide has a pair of wheels (113, 114) having enlarged rims at one end for engaging opposite walls of a door guiding channel. One of the wheels is inverted relative to the other. Thus, the rim of one wheel is at a higher elevation than the rim of the other wheel.
