A rod holder system for use with a boat, specifically for use with a ski bar or other rail element on a boat. The rail can be round or square. The device could even be clamped to a rail of a wooden deck rather than on a boat. A stem is clamped to the rail using a clamp and several clamp screws. A rod holder with a sizing insert is screwed to a top end of the stem using a rod screw for connecting the holder to the stem. The sizing insert can be inserted into the holder and may be interchangeable depending on the rod to be placed within the holder, from a flag pole to a fishing pole handle to a spotlight pole.

Rod holder system and method of use

A low energy nitrogen removal wetland system is disclosed to provide high rates of nitrogen removal treatment for wastewater with low energy requirements. The wetland system uses down-flow rock-filled wetlands for nitrogen removal. The system has no aeration requirements, thus resulting in low energy consumption. The wetland system comprises a first column receiving drainage influent, a mid-level reservoir, a second column receiving drainage from the mid-level reservoir and a lower level reservoir receiving discharge from the second column. The first and the second columns are filled with media layers comprise rock media with ammonia adsorption capacity for ammonia removal. The wetland system operates in a flood and drain operation mode or a continuous flow mode.

Low energy nitrogen removal wetland technology

A system for communicating hardened, buried target arrival-related data from an airborne warhead device to a remote mission analysis location is disclosed. The communicated information especially relates to impact deceleration events encountered by a hardened target penetration warhead, events arising from the warhead impacting with the earth and then with one or more layers of hardening material such as concrete disposed in or adjacent a subterranean target. Verification of warhead detonation may also be included in the communicated data. The system includes ultra high radio frequency communication from the subterranean warhead to a repeater apparatus disposed at or above the point of warhead earth impact followed by conventional signal relaying of the collected warhead experience data from the repeater to a remote mission analysis facility. Utilization of the system to verify effective neutralization of targets, even targets remaining visually obscured throughout an identification, strike and reconnaissance sequence, is disclosed along with the capability of such a system to limit the need for dangerous subsequent strikes against the same target.

Bioremediation of xenobiotics including methyl tert-butyl ether

A gas permeable membrane divides a reactor vessel into a liquid compartment and a gas compartment. A biofilm is grown on the gas permeable membrane on the liquid side of the membrane. Teh gas permeable membrane is supported by the structure of the membrane itself. The biofilm is chosen from bacteria to degrade cetain pollutants by means of anaerobic fermentation, aerobic heterotrophic oxidation, dehalogenation, and hydrocarbon oxidation. This is accomplished by means of oxygen and alternate gases (i.e., methane) through the gas permeable membrane to certain bacteria growing on the liquid side of the gas permeable membrane.

Support aerated biofilm reactor

Liquid which has been partially clarified in the settling zone of a clarifier tank is channelled through a filtration compartment containing a buoyant particulate filtration media. The media particles are periodically agitated so that trapped solids are separated from the media and retained in the clarifier tank.
