A hose reel carrier includes a wheeled structure having spaced apart side walls and a top wall covering a receptacle; a hose reel is rotatably mounted between the side walls and is rotated by a hand crank operated outside one of the side walls; a reciprocating hose guide carried on support rods is also driven by the crank; a fluid connection is provided through the other side wall to supply fluid to a hose carried on the reel.

A garden tool of the type having a shaft handle includes a tool with a handle socket provided with an array of teeth to interengage an array of teeth formed on a lug fastened on the handle shaft so that when the end of the shaft is inserted into the handle socket on the tool, the teeth of the socket will mesh with the teeth of the lug to anchor the shaft in the socket.

The objective of the present invention is to provide a portable hose cart assembly capable of stacking, yet having circular hose reel end flanges. The portable hose cart assembly utilizes a supporting frame structure constructed and arranged to be nested on top of a similar supporting frame structure. The supporting frame structure is also constructed and arranged such that a similar supporting frame structure can be nested on top of the supporting frame structure. A hose reel structure for receiving and supporting a length of hose is rotatably mounted within the supporting frame structure. Circular end flanges are fixed to the ends of the hose reel structure. A handle structure movable between a stacking position and an operating position is connected to the supporting frame structure. The handle structure has a locking mechanism such that the handle structure may be secured in the operating position. Wheel structures are connected to the supporting frame structure to allow for manual movement of the portable hose cart assembly. These structures are designed and assembled in a manner to allow a similar portable hose cart assembly to be stacked on top of the portable hose cart assembly in a nesting arrangement such that the circular end flanges of each portable hose cart assembly are closely spaced. Upwardly facing supporting surfaces of the portable hose cart assembly support the downwardly facing stacking surfaces of the similar portable hose cart assembly stacked in a nesting arrangement on top of the portable hose cart assembly. A portable hose cart assembly with a tray structure located below the end flanges of the hose reel structure is further provided. The tray structure has a bottom wall with perforations and a peripheral wall extending upward from the bottom wall.

A portable, stackable wagon assembly includes a main compartment over which a handle structure is movable to an operational position; the main compartment includes side walls provided with support members for a tray that is insertable into the main compartment to rest on the support members; the tray is provided with at least one partition wall and a handle to facilitate removal from the wagon assembly.

A dual mode spreader includes a wheel supported container having a bottom wall provided with discharge openings feeding to a rotationally supported spreader disk; a skirt is mounted relative to the container to be movable to alter the distribution pattern between a broadcast mode and a drop mode; a mode determining member is provided to move with respect to the container in coordination with movement of the skirt between the broadcast and drop modes of operation.

A wagon assembly for use in gardening and lawn care comprises a wagon body structure which provides a main compartment. The main compartment accommodates the carriage of items and materials used in gardening and lawn care. A handle structure is pivotally connected to a forward end of the wagon body structure such that the handle structure moves between a stacking position and a range of operating positions. Wheel structures are rotatably connected to the wagon body structure and are constructed to enable the wagon assembly to be rolled manually by exerting force on the handle structure. Upwardly facing supporting surfaces are constructed and arranged to support a first similar wagon assembly aligned above the wagon assembly in a stable stacking and nesting relation with the handle structure of the wagon assembly in the stacking position such that portions of wheel structures of the first similar wagon assembly are disposed between upper peripheral edges of the wagon body structure. Downwardly facing stacking surfaces are constructed and arranged to engage upwardly facing supporting surfaces of a second similar wagon assembly such that portions of the wheel structures of the wagon assembly are disposed below upper peripheral edges of the second similar wagon assembly when the wagon assembly is aligned above the second similar assembly in a stable stacking and nesting relation.

The present invention is a one-piece hand-held gardening tool comprising a rigid, high strength tool portion to be used as an implement in gardening activities and a rigid, high strength annular handle portion to be manually grasped when the tool portion is used as an implement in gardening activities. The handle portion and the tool portion are molded integrally together from a molten material which provides the rigid, high strength tool portion and the rigid, high strength annular handle portion with suitable strength and rigidity for use in gardening activities when solidified. The handle portion has a hollow cavity surrounded by an annular, outer wall. The hollow cavity is formed in the handle portion by injecting pressurized gas into the molten material from which the rigid, high strength tool portion and the rigid, high strength annular handle portion are integrally molded before the solidification thereof. The hollow cavity is substantially enclosed within the handle portion to thereby prevent dirt and debris from collecting therein. The annular, outer wall surrounding the hollow cavity has a thickness suitable to provide the rigid, high strength annular handle portion with suitable strength and rigidity for use in gardening activities. The one-piece hand-held gardening tool is molded from less of the molten material than would be used to mold a substantially identical one-piece hand-held gardening tool devoid of hollow cavities and weighs less than the substantially identical one-piece hand-held gardening tool devoid of hollow cavities by virtue of forming the hollow cavity in the rigid, high strength annular handle portion thereof.
