Ultrasonic transducer housing

The apparatus is used for therapeutically treating injuries using ultrasound. The apparatus includes an ergonomically constructed ultrasonic transducer treatment head module partially fabricated with a conductive plastic material. The apparatus also utilizes a portable, ergonomically constructed main operating unit constructed to fit within a pouch worn by the patient. In operation, the transducer treatment head module is positioned adjacent the area of the injury and excited for a predetermined period of time. To ensure that the transducer treatment head module is properly positioned, and to insure compliance with a treatment protocol, a safety interlock is provided to prevent inadvertent excitation of the transducer.

Apparatus for ultrasonic bone treatment

Seal retainers for electrical connectors. The seal retainers described herein comprise a retainer plate having one or more slots therein to accommodate a wire or wires leading into a connector. In the retaining position, the retainer plate extends across the connector cavities with the wires passing through the retainer plate slots. A seal and/or secondary lock disposed around the wire in the connector cavities are engaged by the interface of the retainer plate to prevent outward axial movement thereof from the cavities. The retainer plate includes a peripheral flange which fits into a peripheral recess of the connector body and thus lies flush with the connector body surfaces. At least one dovetail tab extends axially from each side of said retainer, said tabs extending from said retainer plate flange. Dovetail recesses in the container body are aligned to receive said dovetail retainer tabs.

Seal retainer for electrical connectors

A variable electronic component in the nature of a capacitor includes a free floating impedance varying member disposed overlying an impedance varying portion of a rotor. The impedance varying portion includes a substantially planar surface and an adjacent opening which are brought into varying degrees of overlying registration with the impedance varying member.

Variable electronic component

A variable electronic component for use in a subminiature electronic circuit and adapted to provide a desired range of impedance characteristics. The variable electronic component may take the form of a variable trimmer capacitor, a variable resistor, and the like constructed to include an eccentric whose rotational motion imparts reciprocal movement to an impedance varying member. The eccentric is operative by engagement with an implement such as a screwdriver and the like.
