A quick connector assembly coupling a fluid tube to a receptacle body includes a socket portion and a wall bordering a socket opening. A pair of latch openings extend through the wall into the socket opening. A bracket installed on the wall includes a pair of spring latches that reach through a respective one of the pair of latch openings into the socket opening. A fluid tube having a raised upset is placed through the socket opening causing the upset to be captured by each spring latch. A verifier having fixing fingers and a pair of verifier arms is installed through respective recesses in the wall and into the socket opening that causes each verifier arm to travel along the upset to rest below a respective spring latch and the fixing fingers to capture the upset.

A quick connector is adapted to display a code that verifies that a latch member is engaged to retain an installed pipe to the quick connector. The quick connector comprises a connector body having a receiving portion surrounding an internal passage, the internal passage arranged to receive the pipe therein. A latch member retained on the receiving portion is arranged to be movable between a pipe insertion position and a latched position. In the pipe insertion position, the latch member allows the pipe to be inserted into the internal passage. A code readable by a scanning device becomes readable when the latch member is moved to the latched position verifying that the pipe is installed and latched in the connector body.

A quick connector includes a coupler fluidically connected by a passage to a first fluid tube. A retainer housing in axial alignment with the passage is installed on the coupler and a movable retainer is installed in the retainer housing in a first position. A second fluid tube having a raised bead formed proximate an end portion of the second fluid tube is permitted to be installed into the retainer housing cavity by the retainer when the retainer is in the first position. Moving the retainer to a second position latches the bead to the retainer housing retaining the second fluid tube to the quick connector.

A connector and a process for coupling a tube to another device is disclosed. The connector comprises a receptacle for receiving a first tube. The receptacle includes a socket and a modular head mated to said socket in one of a plurality of relative orientations. The modular head comprises an indexing member. A retention clip embraces the receptacle and has a leg positioned in a slot in the receptacle.

A connector and process for coupling a tube and the resulting assembly is disclosed. A receptacle includes pilot in a mounted position. The pilot is slidable from a mounting position to a final position while the pilot urges legs of a retention clip into a spread condition during a transition between the mounting position and the final position. In the final position, the pilot permits legs of the retention clip to retract to a relaxed condition and an indicator piece is visible.

This disclosure relates to a quick connector adapted to display a code that verifies that a latch member is engaged to retain an installed pipe to the quick connector. The quick connector comprises a connector body having a receiving portion surrounding an internal passage, the internal passage arranged to receive the pipe therein. A latch member retained on the receiving portion is arranged to be movable between a pipe insertion position and a latched position. In the pipe insertion position, the latch member allows the pipe to be inserted into the internal passage. A connector and process for coupling a tube and the resulting assembly is disclosed. A receptacle includes a pilot in a mounting position. The pilot including an indicator piece and guide members each located in a respective channel on the receptacle and slidable within the channels from the mounting position to a final position. A retention clip having legs is urged into a spread condition during a transition between the mounting position and the final position wherein in the final position the legs of the retention clip retract to a relaxed condition, the indicator piece becomes visible on the receptacle and the first and second guide members latch the pilot to the receptacle.

A quick connect assembly for releasably engaging an endform including a tubular stem, a collar member and a retaining member. The tubular stem includes a radially extending flange formed proximate to an upper end thereof. The radially extending flange is formed to include a first plurality of locating features. The collar member is carried by the tubular stem and is rotatably adjustable relative to the tubular stem about a longitudinally extending axis to a plurality of indexed positions. The collar member includes an inwardly extending lip proximate a lower end thereof and further including a second plurality of locating features. The retaining member holds the radially extending flange of the tubular stem against the inwardly extending lip of the collar member. The first and second pluralities of locating features cooperate to prevent relative rotation between the collar member and the stem when the radially extending flange of the tubular stem is held against the inwardly extending lip of the collar member.

A fluid quick connector assembly () according to an exemplary embodiment of this disclosure, among other possible things includes a housing () having a passage () configured to receive an endform (), and a retainer () including a bridge (). A beam () extends from the bridge. Two retainer arms () extend from the bridge to retain the male endform () in the passage of the housing when the retainer is in an engaged position. Two guiding legs () extend from the bridge that guide the retainer () during movement to the engaged position. The bridge (), the beam (), the two retainer arms (), and the two guiding legs () are an integral unitary single piece component, and the beam () contacts the endform () when the retainer () is in the engaged position.
