The present disclosure relates to magenta inkjet inks having a quinacridone pigment and an azo pigment. The azo pigment has at least one azo compound having the formula (I), in which Ris selected from H, aryl and Cto Calkyl, and R, Rand Rare each independently selected from H, a Cto Calkyl, an oxygen-containing, a nitrogen-containing and a sulphur-containing functional group. Where Ris aryl, the aryl is not a phenyl group having at least one hydrogen atom that has been substituted with a chlorine atom. 

Magenta inks

A method for forming a fluidic ejection device is described. The method includes depositing a first layer on a silicon wafer, the first layer including a first photoresist, and exposing, at a first energy level, a portion of the first photoresist. The method also includes depositing a second layer on the first layer, the second layer including a second photoresist that is more sensitive to light than the first photoresist, and exposing, at a second energy level, a portion of the second photoresist. The second energy level is less than the first energy level. The method also includes developing unexposed portions of the first photoresist and the second photoresist to form an enclosed firing chamber and a nozzle.

Fluidic ejection device with layers having different light sensitivities

An example provides an apparatus including a plate having a nozzle orifice, a flat portion, and a first surface having a recess forming a corresponding protrusion extending from a second surface, opposite first surface, of the plate. A substrate may be in spaced relation to the flat portion of the plate such that the protrusion extends toward the substrate and such that the flat portion and the substrate define, at least in part, a chamber.

A printing system comprising an electrical interface for ink pens of an inkjet printer, the electrical interface including a first group of electrical contacts; a second group of electrical contacts, the second group of electrical contacts being arranged in an identical configuration as the first group of electrical contacts; and a number of electrical interconnects, in which each electrical contact from the first and second groups of electrical contacts is connected to one of the electrical interconnects via a conductive trace; in which at least one electrical contact from the first group of electrical contacts is connected to a same electrical interconnect as at least one electrical contact from the second group of electrical contacts.

Ink pen electrical interface

A microfluidic architecture is disclosed. The microfluidic architecture includes a substrate having an edge and a thin film stack established on at least a portion of the substrate adjacent the edge. The thin film stack includes a non-conducting layer and a seed layer, where the seed layer is positioned such that a portion of the non-conducting layer is exposed. A chamber layer is established on at least a portion of the seed layer. The non-conducting layer, the seed layer, and the chamber layer define a microfluidic chamber. A layer having a predetermined surface property is electroplated on the chamber layer and on at least one of another portion of the seed layer and the exposed portion of the non-conducting layer.
