A system and method reports rules violations to a monitoring device relating to use of a monitored mobile device. The two devices use separate app versions linked through verification codes. The monitoring device establishes rules for use of the monitored device. When the monitored device app detects usage in violation of the rules, rule violations are reported to the monitoring app. Rules can be established that apply only in certain contexts, such as when driving a motor vehicle. The monitored app can submit a request to the monitoring app to enter passenger mode in order to avoid rule violations. The linked monitoring app can approve or deny the request. A distress stream can be started on the monitored app with a single button push. The stream is shared with the monitoring app and is automatically recorded during the stream at server location.

Monitoring and direct communications between mobile devices system and method

A system and method are presented for sharing an audio-visual stream from a server system with a plurality of participant computer systems and for the automated generation of portions. Each participant computer system provides audio and visual data which is converted into the audio-visual stream by the server system. The server system then shares the audio-visual stream with the participant computer systems. During the audio-visual stream, a participant computer can request a portion at a time T. The server will automatically generate a portion audio-visual file using audio and visual data from the stream extending from before time T to after time T. After creation of the portion, the participant computer can modify the timing of the portion and can modify the visual presentation of the portion.

Audio-visual portion generation from a live video stream

A system and method are presented for content control and monitoring in a multi-party video stream using a specialized user interface (UI). Particular participants are identified as luminaries and allowed to specify off-limit topics. Other participants are presented UIs that require agreement to avoid off-limit topics. All participants are immediately able to report problem behavior during the stream through the provided UI. Reports made through this interface immediately result in quarantining compensation and streaming content including reports relating to the off-limit topics. Administrative UIs allow for quicker understanding of the reporting issues, quicker review of the potentially offending stream, and quicker resolution of the report.

Audio-visual content monitoring and quarantine system and method

A system and method are presented for the creation and management of live audio-visual streams between multiple parties. An organizing computer system requests a system server to establish a stream with a limited, preset number of slots. Other computer systems request to join the stream. Once the present number of slots is filled, a queue is established for waiting computer systems. Participating computer systems can be limited in their participation to a present time period, after which they are removed from the streams. Removal of one computer system from the stream opens a slot for another, which is filed from the queue of waiting computer systems. The queue can be sorted through a variety of means, including FIFO and auction.

Live multiparty audio-visual communication linking system and method

A computerized system and method are presented that creates implicit content on a mobile device by monitoring and recording input from sensors on the device. Metadata from the implicit content and from user-created content is then analyzed for the purpose of event identification. Using the metadata and event identification, the content is created into clusters, which can be confirmed by the user as actual events. Events can then be grouped according to metadata and event information into a presentation grouping. Users can also be associated with organizations, allowing the sharing of content and event definitions between the organization and its member users. Users can create ad hoc organizations with a particular subset of other users, which simplifies the creation of event meta data and content sharing with other users in the ad hoc organization.

Group membership content presentation and augmentation system and method

A computerized system and method are presented that creates implicit content on a mobile device by monitoring and recording input from sensors on the device. Metadata from the implicit content and from user-created content is then analyzed the purpose of event identification. Using the metadata and event identification, the content is created into clusters, which can be confirmed by the user as actual events. Events can then be grouped according to metadata and event information into a presentation grouping. Presentation groupings can be presenting using a map and timeline interface. The system augments content concerning an event by searching for related content. Users viewing the presentation grouping can add additional user content. The system can also add content from users that attended the same event.

Content presentation and augmentation system and method

A system and method are presented to allow audio communication between users concerning a group of images. A first mobile device has an app that selects a plurality of images and then records audio commentary for the plurality of images. The images and audio commentary are grouped into an image grouping, and the image grouping is transmitted to a second mobile device. Reply commentaries to the image grouping can also be associated with a particular image in the grouping. Image groupings can be presented by reviewing all commentaries on a single image first before moving to a second image, or by reviewing all commentaries made in a user-session before moving to a second user session.

Image grouping with audio commentaries system and method

A system and method are presented to allow text-based communication between users concerning an image in the form of an image-message. The originator of the communication uses a mobile device app to select an image and enter appropriate text. The recipient mobile device receives an image-message, and then displays the text superimposed over the image. The recipient can enter reply text, which will then be shown superimposed over the image as part of a message stream. The recipient can also alter the image, with the altered image being transmitted back to the originator. When the reply message is active, the altered image is displayed behind the message stream. The user can select an earlier message in the stream to view the image associated with that earlier message.

Image and message integration system and method

A system and method are presented to allow audio communication between users concerning an image. The originator of the communication uses a mobile device app to select an image and record an audio commentary. The image, audio commentary, and metadata are submitted to a cloud server for storage. The app uses the server to analyze a recipient address to determine the preferred mode of delivery. If the recipient is a known user of the app, the file is delivered without combining the image, audio commentary, and metadata into a standard movie file. Otherwise, the originator's app delivers the file through MMS or e-mail for the recipient as a movie file for viewing using a standard video player.

Image with audio conversation system and method

A system and method are presented to allow audio communication between users concerning an image. The originator of the communication uses a mobile device app to select an image and record an audio commentary. The image and commentary are encoded together into a video file. The app uses a server to analyze the recipient address to determine the preferred mode of delivery. If the recipient is a known user of the app, the file is delivered through a proprietary communication system and viewed by the recipient using the app. Otherwise, the originator's app delivers the file through MMS or e-mail for the recipient to view using a standard video player. E-mail and MMS communications include a link for the recipient to download the app. The recipient can download the app and register as a user, which causes a server to download previously delivered files to the new user's app.

Systems and methods for a quick start packaging mural are provided. In certain embodiments, a package includes at least one electronic component; a container enclosing the at least one electronic component, wherein the container protects the at least one electronic component when transported to a user; and a packaging mural within the container, the packaging mural having information about the at least one electronic component, wherein the information and the at least one electronic components are simultaneously viewable when the at least one electronic component is accessible within the container.

A computerized system and method are presented that provide access to a research archive for researching fundamental texts of a variety of spiritual and religious domains. The research archive is oriented around ideas having snippets from the fundamental texts. Each idea is associated with a single life issue tag and a religious or spiritual domain. Each idea is further associated with a fixed number of commentaries that comment on the snippet from the point of view of the religious domain and its relationship to the associated life issue tag. The fixed number of commentaries are each written with respect to a particular role. Customized study guides to the spiritual documents can be created using the commentaries by selecting religious or spiritual domains or life issue tags to choose a subset of commentaries to be displayed with the spiritual document.

Spiritual research system and method

A computerized system and method are presented that provide access to three data collections that can form the foundations of a spiritual journey, namely a research archive for researching fundamental texts of a variety of spiritual and religious domains, a personal reflection data collection for reflecting upon a personal life journey, and a community conversation data collection that provides users with an opportunity to explore the research archive and their personal reflections in a social community setting. The research archive is oriented around ideas having snippets from the fundamental texts. The various elements in the data collections are associated with life issue tags and religious or spiritual domains. By analyzing a user's selected domain or the domain of displayed content, and by analyzing the life issue tag associated with displayed content, the system and method can suggest related content from elsewhere in the data collections.
