A suction cleaning apparatus or suction cleaning horn is a generally cylindrical barrel or sleeve with an insertion cone to control and direct the distal tip of a suction tool into the bore of the barrel. A stylet is secured within the suction cleaning barrel and aligned on the longitudinal axis of the bore such that insertion of the suction tool into the cleaning barrel inserts the stylet into the channel of the suction tool to mechanically clear any obstructions of the suction tool. The distal end of the suction cleaning horn may also include one or more holes or vents to permit cleaning liquid to be drawn into the bore of the cleaning horn and into the suction tool channel to help clear obstructions in the suction tool.

An archery bow sight has a sight tube which is fixed to a link arm which extends between two rotatable members mounted to a frame which is connected to the riser of a bow. The arm is pinned to the rear rotatable member at a radius which is less than the radius at which it is pinned to the front rotatable member. The rotation of the rotatable members is synchronized by a connector such as an intermediate gear, a timing belt, a rigid link, or a linked chain. By rotation of a range adjustment knob, the sight tube is caused to change simultaneously in inclination and in height in such a way that the archer may continue to view the target through the sight tube. The sight tube has a fiber optic sight point. The relationship between the rotating members and the link arm is adjustable for draw length.

Bow sight

Two generally triangular segments of metal or plastic are rigidly or pivotably connected at an angle of about 45 degrees. A flexible strap extends through vertical slots formed in each segment. A strap connector, such as a double bar buckle, is positioned between the two segments. The strap extends through the first slot and around a portion of the strap connector, back out the first slot and around the joint between the segments and into the second slot. The strap passes from the second slot, around a portion of the strap connector, back out the second slot and then around the tree. The free ends of the strap are releasably connected. The edges of the segments may have upwardly angled teeth, such that when the tree step is secured against the tree by downward pressure, the upwardly angled teeth restrain the upward return of the tree step in response to the tension in the strap. Installed, strap tension restricts opening of the two segments, while the strap connector restricts collapse of the two segments. Alternatively, the tree step has a body with a sideward slot above a platform. A strap connector is positioned on the outwardly facing surface of the body. The strap extends through the strap connector and through the slot to securely position the climbing step. Three sided steps may have a strap which encircles a plate and extends through a slot.

Adjustable upper straps extend from the four corners of a collapsible seat assembly and terminate at a central O-ring. A groin strap extends from the central ring to a portion of the seat assembly. A tree ascender strap is also connected to the central ring, and has a latchable hook which can be used to encircle the trunk of a tree and secure the climber as he climbs. A back strap and shoulder strap extend from the central ring and help to restrain a hunter within the assembly both while climbing and while in an elevated position in the tree. A main lead securing strap extends from an extension strap connected to the central ring and has a buckle which allows it to be secured around a tree above the head of the hunter. The main lead securing strap is looped through itself in such a way that the strap chokes the tree trunk within itself to prevent slipping on trees with smooth bark. In a preferred embodiment the seat assembly has two identical seat segments which are hinged to a rigid downwardly extending spar, with a plurality of straps in tension serving to keep the seat assembly in its erected condition when in use. Alternatively, collapsible seat assemblies employing flexible strap webs may be used.

A protective case for fishing hooks and lures wherein the protective case is mounted to a fishing rod. The protective case has an outer housing and an inner housing capable of rotation therebetween to open and occlude access ports through which a fishing lure may be inserted. An opening formed in the end of both outer housing member 12 and inner housing member 32 provides for continuous engagement with a fishing line. An aperture cap provides a bottom for the enclosure, which may be removed to clean debris that has accumulated therein. The protective case may be attached to a fishing rod through any of a variety of methods including a V-shaped clamping member, hook and pile straps or a spring clamp.

An adjustable compound leverage bowstring release which may be held in the hand of an archer includes a housing assembly, a latch cam which is pivotally mounted to the housing assembly and a trigger cam which is also pivotally mounted to the assembly. The housing assembly has an outer contour which is shaped to be grasped by the hand and also has a slot for receiving a bowstring. The latch cam has a notch which receives the bowstring when the bowstring is pulled into the housing assembly slot. As the bowstring is pulled back into the slot, the latch cam is pivoted from its open position to a latched position. In its latched position a lever portion of the latch cam moves through a lever pathway. The trigger cam then is pivoted so that a smooth wall on the trigger cam intersects the latch cam lever portion pathway to prevent the latch cam from returning to its open position. When the archer's hand releases the latch cam, the trigger cam is free to pivot out of the pathway of the latch cam lever portion, thereby allowing the latch cam to pivot to its open position where the bowstring is released.

A strainer basket for a swimming pool having a basket top closure affording two flow paths thus-through to the basket, one via a coupling for a suction hose which is so disposed that the hose can be introduced to the skimmer through a lateral throat at the pool surface, and the other via a weir-gated enclosure carried by the basket closure. The relative flow area of these flow paths is controllable by a valve mechanism.

A portable tree seat has a generally flat platform with a back edge for engaging a post or tree and is held in position on the tree by a rope. A flexible strap is secured to the platform near its front edge and extends to the back edge of the platform where it is adjustably secured in position by being passed through a pair of slots formed in the platform. A rigid elongated brace is attached to the flexible strap and is cradled therein between the positions of securement of the strap to the platform. When the back edge of the platform is held in position on a tree, the flexible strap may be adjusted such that the brace is held by the strap in a position engaging the tree at its back end and extending up to a position supporting the platform at its front end so that the platform is held in a substantially horizontal position. The brace is held only by the strap so that the brace may shift to its most stable position when the platform is loaded.

Portable tree seat

There is described a pool chlorinator which uses granular chlorine. The chlorinator has a sealed chamber having a container for the granular chlorine. The container has a vertically moving sleeve forming the side wall and a fixed platform forming the bottom. Water from th pressure side of the pool pump flows across the top of the platform to dissolve the chlorine granules and form a bridge of caked chlorine material in the sleeve above the water. The sleeve is lowered incrementally each time the pump is turned on to move the caked material into dissolving contact with the flowing water.

A rotary valve in which a chamber has one or more circular ports opening into the chamber. A ball of flexible resilient material is journaled on the offset end of a bell crank shaft extending into the chamber. Rotation of the shaft rotates the axis of the ball around the inside of the chamber, moving the ball from port to port. When engaged with the port, the ball expands into the opening sealing off the port.

Rotary ball valve

A gauge for a pool filter in which the gauge includes a housing mounted on top of the filter, the housing having an interior chamber which is fluid connected at the bottom to the upper interior of the filter. The removable top of the gauge housing supports a vertical tube extending down into the chamber, the tube being open only at the lower end. A cup-shaped member is supported inside the chamber and receives the tube. The interior of the tube is visible from outside the housing for observing the level of liquid in the tube.
