A sweeper attachment for a refuse collection vehicle that utilizes either a conveyor system or a vacuum system to transport debris from a road surface to a collection body of the refuse collection vehicle. The sweeper attachment allows for the same vehicle to be used for both refuse collection and sweeping roadway surfaces.

Garbage truck sweeper attachment

A collection mechanism for a side loading refuse collection vehicle that can move both horizontally and vertically to service multiple compartments designed for specific types of refuse or recyclables. A grabber assembly can move horizontally on a rail in either a lowered position or in a raised dumping position. The grabber assembly can move vertically on a mast. Preferably a sprocket wheel and a track are utilized to move the grabber assembly vertically from a street position to a dumping position.

Zero radius automated arm

An adapter to allow a sideloading refuse collection body to empty a rear loading container having trunnions. The adapter has a pair of spaced apart trunnion pockets to receive opposing trunnions of the container. A pair of lock arms on the adapter can be lowered against the tops of opposing sides of the container to lock the container in the trunnion pockets and against a stabilizer which engages the front wall of the container. The adapter includes a guide plate aligned with and extending from the front wall of the container. Lift arms on the collection body are joined to opposing sides of the adapter.

Adapter to unload rear loading container into side loading compaction body

An assembly for a fracking sand trailer wherein a door can be positioned to allow a measured flow of sand to exit the assembly. The assembly can be attached to a hopper of a trailer and can stand the weight of heavy loads associated with sand. A trailer with the assembly is also described and utilizes specific construction techniques to lighten the weight of the trailer.

A cam follower roller assembly has a shaft insertable into a roller. The shaft has a zerk in communication with the channel wherein lubricant can be added to the assembly. The design of the assembly in one embodiment is such that a larger shoulder to shaft radius stabilizes the shaft and limits the shaft from rocking or elongating within a mounting hole. When utilized in the application of a loading mechanism and carriage assembly for trash collection vehicles, one embodiment of the cam follower roller assembly provides greater life and easier serviceability.

An attachment for a side loading refuse vehicles wherein the attachment can secure several different types of refuse containers. The attachment is operated without electronics and hydraulics, thus making retrofitting already in-use refuse vehicles easy and inexpensive.

Manual cart latch

A refuse collection assembly for a refuse collection vehicle mounts to a intermediate container on the refuse collection vehicle. The refuse receptacle collection assembly can grasp a refuse receptacle at curbside, at street side, or forward of the intermediate container in any location over a one hundred eighty degree arc. The collection assembly grasps the receptacle and locates it above the intermediate container and tilts it sufficiently to empty the contents of the receptacle in the intermediate container. The collection assembly then returns the receptacle upright to its previous location or to any location to the right, left or forward of the refuse collection assembly. The refuse receptacle collection assembly includes a rail extending along a wall of the intermediate container, a carriage selectively movable along the rail, and a receptacle engaging assembly supported by the carriage for grasping the refuse receptacle.

Versatile collection apparatus for front loading refuse vehicle

A loading assembly for a refuse collection vehicle wherein a pair of gripping arms can upend a refuse container into an intermediate container. A first set of gripper arms can be located on a first side of the intermediate container and a second set of gripper arms can be located on a second side of the intermediate container. The two sets allow refuse bins located on a curb side and street side to be serviced by the loading assembly. The intermediate container can then be emptied into a storage compartment of the vehicle.

Automated load arm mechanism for front forks of refuse collection truck

An adapter for lift arms of a front loading commodity collection truck includes a pair of forks, each of which can individually pivot from a position alongside the frame of the adapter to a position generally perpendicular to the frame of the adapter. Each fork includes elements to allow it to connect with either a side loadable refuse container or a rear end loadable refuse container. At least one fork is supported on a laterally telescoping assembly so that the fork can reach a refuse container located, away from the adapter on the street side of the collection truck.

Front load fork assembly for side load or rear load containers

A canopy for a refuse collection vehicle wherein the canopy can be placed on the vehicle without adding additional height to the vehicle. The canopy has a frame attachable to the vehicle which holds at least one container of fuel. The fuel is typically a compressed natural gas and depending on the model of vehicle a plurality of containers can be housed to extend the service area of the vehicle.

A control apparatus to automatically raise the collection mechanism of a side loading apparatus to a parked position spaced sufficiently above the roadway to prevent the collection mechanism from striking the roadway when raised or other uneven roadway surfaces are encountered.

Control system to automatically raise collection mechanism of side loading commodity collection vehicle

An improved recyclables collection vehicle includes a lift mechanism for selective loading into any one of multiple hoppers on the vehicle. The lift mechanism includes a track which extends past the rear of the vehicle such that a moveable carriage may move along the track to collect a refuse bin located to the rear of the vehicle or on an elevated dock behind or alongside the vehicle. The carriage can be aligned with any one of the hoppers such that the lift mechanism will elevate the refuse bin and invert it over the hopper container. The movement of the carriage along the track and the raising of the lift mechanism are operated with a wireless remote control.

Linearly extendable collection mechanism for refuse hauling vehicles

An automated side loading mechanism for a refuse collection body capable of lifting and emptying a refuse container equipped with a trunnion bar. A carriage reaches out from the side of the collection body and includes a lift mechanism. The lift mechanism includes pockets to receive opposing ends of the trunnion bar on the refuse container. Lock arms pivot downward so that bar members on the lock arms overlie top edges of the refuse container. The carriage is retracted and the lift mechanism is raised on the carriage so that the refuse container can be upended over the load opening of the collection body. The bars on the lock arms angle upwardly to allow plastic lids hinged to the refuse container to swing past the bars when the container is upended, while restraining the container from falling into the collection body.
