Methods and systems for user interaction with information handling systems include using a physical object as a virtual input device. The virtual input device may be manipulated by a user to provide user input to an information handling system. The physical object may be identified and tracked using an image acquisition device. Different types of physical objects may be manipulated by the user to define gestures that are interpreted as user input.

A display presents information as visual images with plural pixels, each pixel having red, green and blue OLED films that illuminate with varying intensity defined by pixel values generated by a graphics processor. An image adjuster alters the pixel values for pixels located outside the field of view of an end user so that degradation of OLED material occurs in a balanced manner, such as by reducing illumination of blue OLED material, which tends to degrade at a more rapid rate than red and green OLED material.

A contamination control system of an electronic device includes a touch-based surface, an ultraviolet (UV) light source operable to shine on the touch-based surface, a detection module, and a control module. The detection module detects a first event indicating that a user has interacted with the touch-based surface, sends a first indication based upon the first event, detects a second event indicating that a user is done interacting with the touch-based surface, and sends a second indication based upon the second event. The control module receives the first indication and the second indication from the detection module and turns on the UV light source to decontaminate the touch-based surface in response to the first indication and the second indication.

The portable dock and power adapter system also includes power adapter member including a dock member coupling and a power adapter plug that is electrically coupled to the dock plug and that extends from the power adapter member. A connecting member extends between the power adapter member and the dock member. The connecting member is operable to orient the power adapter member and the dock member such that the dock member coupling is spaced apart from the power adapter member coupling. The connecting member is also operable to orient the power adapter member and the dock member such that the dock member coupling engages the power adapter member coupling.
