A state-of-charge (SOC) circuit makes a continuous contact with terminals of a battery and monitors voltage of the battery to detect that the battery has an SOC greater than a threshold SOC. In response, the SOC circuit establishes a state of an SOC indicator to indicate that the battery has an SOC greater than the threshold SOC. The threshold SOC corresponds to an SOC of the battery for storing or transporting the battery, and can correspond to a governmental regulatory or commercial SOC. A container for storing and/or transporting a battery includes an SOC circuit and SOC indicator to detect and indicate that a battery, held in the container, has an SOC greater than the threshold SOC. A method uses an SOC circuit and SOC indicator to detect and indicate that a battery has an SOC greater than the threshold SOC.

The fan guard includes a guard housing, the guard housing including a housing opening, one or more lattices, wherein the one or more lattices are pivotably connected to a portion of the guard housing, a linkage arm, wherein the one or more lattices are operably connected to the linkage arm, and a wedge portion operably connected to the linkage arm, wherein the wedge portion comprises a wedge portion face, and wherein the linkage arm is configured to move along a length of the guard housing and the linkage arm is configured to pivot the one or more lattices from a first position to a second position.

Safety compliant fan finger guard integrated with anti-recirculation structure and method

A self-reporting, grounded nut-clip is provided. The self-reporting, grounded nut-clip includes a support body. The support body includes first and second bends defining first, second and third support sections interleaved with the first and second bends. The first and third support sections define first and second apertures, respectively, and the second support section is interposed between the first and third support sections. The self-reporting, grounded nut-clip further includes a fastening element receiving member disposed on the first support section at the first aperture, a star washer, and an indicator. The star washer is disposed on the third support section at a location of the second aperture. The indicator is coupled to the third support section and is configured for automatic activation upon complete nut-clip installation.

Aspects of the present invention provide shielded cables for reducing the incidence of ground loops between connected electronic devices. According to one aspect of the present invention, a shielded cable is disclosed having two inner shield segments and an outer shield. The inner shield segments can each be grounded, but are physically separated from each other by a gap. The external shield is not grounded, and serves to contain EMI generated by signal conductors within the shielded cable and shield the signal conductors against external electrical events.

A light transmission device is provided including a light pipe having two ends, one end being an ellipsoidal-shaped end. A recess is configured within the ellipsoidal-shaped end for reception of a light source that transmits light into the light pipe. The recess includes an interior concave wall, and the light source is at least partially received in the recess to face the interior concave wall via which light is transmitted into the light pipe. The ellipsoidal-shaped end further includes a curved surface configured to facilitate collection of light into the light pipe when the light source is at least partially received in the recess in the ellipsoidal-shaped end. The ellipsoidal-shaped end includes a first focal point and a second focal point, wherein the recess in the ellipsoidal-shaped end intersects the first focal point, and the second focal point is disposed adjacent to or within the light pipe.
