A system for utilizing renewable energy includes a rechargeable battery adapted to store energy, a solar panel device, and an inverter device. The solar panel device includes a solar panel adapted to receive sunlight and generate energy and a battery charger coupled to the solar panel. The battery charger is adapted to receive energy from the solar panel and store energy in the rechargeable battery. The inverter device includes a power outlet and is adapted to receive energy from the rechargeable battery and produce an electric current via the power outlet.

Systems, apparatus, and methods for utilizing solarenergy and other types of renewable energy

A device includes a memory location adapted to store data, a GPS device adapted to generate information representing a location of the device, a motion detector adapted to determine when the device experiences a predetermined movement, and one or more directional indicators adapted to display a selected direction. The device also includes a processor that performs the following steps: obtain from the GPS device first location data representing a first location, and store the first location data in the memory location. Subsequently, in response to a determination that the device has experienced the predetermined movement, the processor retrieves the first location data from the memory location, obtains from the GPS device second location data representing a second location, determines a direction from the second location to the first location, and causes the one or more directional indicators to indicate the direction.

A combination electric toothbrush and water irrigation device that combines a battery powered water irrigation device with a vibrating electric toothbrush, both of which are housed in a self-contained compact hand-held device. The pump for the water irrigation device and the DC motor with an off-center weight are contained within the handle of the toothbrush. A slide out water reservoir allows the user to fill the extended handle portion with water. A flexible water inlet tube is capable of compressing when the water reservoir is in the storage position. A weight fixed to the end of the inlet tube causes the tube to bend via gravity enabling it to be in constant contact with water while the handle is held at various angles. An LED at the underside of the pump housing illuminates the water contained within the transparent water housing.

Combination electric toothbrush and water irrigation device

A rollator having an auto brake system made of a rigid frame assembly, a pair of forward facing swivel wheels, a pair of rearward facing non-swivel wheels, a pair of support handles, a pair of momentary electrical switches, a seat member, a back-rest member and a pair of electro-mechanical brake assemblies. The electro-mechanical brake assemblies are mounted on the frame assembly just above each rearward facing non-swivel wheel. The momentary electrical switches are mounted on the support handles. The brake assembly is actively engaged when the momentary electrical switches are not pressed and unengaged when the momentary electrical switches are pressed by the user. A preferred embodiment includes a pair of LED lights mounted on the front end of each the support handle, the LED lights being aimable by the user.

A sound emitting bowl assembly capable of holding liquid or solid food where a plurality of light emitting photo diodes and photo sensors are aimed at each other across the top plane of the bowl so that when a spoon breaks the plane of light, a message or melody, that has been pre-recorded and stored below the base of the bowl, automatically plays. Additionally, LED lights located on the outside of the bowl become illuminated as the message or melody is played. The photo diodes, photo sensors and LEDs are mounted on a separate bowl retaining assembly so that the bowl may be removed from the bowl retaining assembly for cleaning purposes and then replaced into the bowl retaining assembly for further use.

A mobility assisting walker device with a folding frame assembly, a pair of non-swiveling wheels, a pair of friction pads, a pair of support handles and a pair of lift arms is disclosed. The non-swivel wheels are mounted to the bottom front portion of the folding frame and the friction pads mounted to the bottom rear portion of the frame. The support handles are mounted to the top portion of the frame assembly. The lift arms are each attached to the outer slidable juncture of the frame. The folding frame assembly is capable of going from a narrow, storage position to a wide use position by a user raising or lowering the lift arms. The frame assembly configured to allow the user to have maximum stride capability while using the walker device. A preferred embodiment includes the friction pads are constructed from injection molded high sticktion TPE plastic.

Mobility assisting walker device

A folding cane with a first shaft member, a second shaft member, a third shaft member, a handle member, a foot member, a first hinge, a second hinge, a first hinge lock assembly and a second hinge lock assembly is disclosed. The handle member is attached to the top of the first shaft member. The first hinge member connects the first shaft member to the second shaft member. The second hinge member connects the second shaft member to the third shaft member. The foot member is attached to the bottom of the third shaft member. The hinge lock assemblies are capable of automatically locking the hinges when the folding cane is deployed to the use position and each hinge lock assembly includes a spring biased slide tab allowing a user to unlock the hinge lock assemblies when wanting to fold the cane into a compact stored configuration.

An earthquake gas valve that uses a battery powered actuation mechanism to automatically close a gas valve when the movement caused by an earthquake is perceived. A gear motor is activated by a plurality of shake switches which in turn cause a motor driven radial rack to rotate. The rack terminates in a closure plug which obstructs the gas outlet opening and prevents gas from entering the house or office when an earthquake occurs. A timing circuit delays the activation of the closure plug to make sure that the motion has been caused by an earthquake and not by an accidental brief jarring action.

A dog collar light with An LED housing, an electronics housing, left and right-side knobs, a front lens, LED lights, a battery and an elastic attachment band. The LED housing can pivot within arms extending from each side of the electronics housing. The electronic housing also includes a fur guard to help keep fur from blocking the LED lights. The side knobs are used for rotating the LED housing up or down and are made of transparent material so that light can shine out from either from the front lens of the LED housing or from the left and right knobs. The LED lights are powered by a battery located within the electronics housing. The elastic band attaches to the electronics housing and holds it to a dog collar so that the LED lights can shine light onto the ground in front of the dog.

A poop pickup tool with a first and second flexible panel, a handle sheet holding member and a frame retaining bracket. The first and second panels each have a diamond shaped frame member at their distal end. The first panel has a hand grip at its proximal end. Flat holding brackets slidably retain the first panel and second panels. The second panel has a perpendicularly disposed handle portion. The frame retaining bracket is attached to the second panel at the lower end of the frame member so that a user can place the first and second diamond shaped frame members over a plastic sheet that covers a portion of poop and then slide the first panel backward to trap the plastic sheet and enclose the poop between the rear portion of the first frame and the front portion of the second frame.

Cap with a hollow housing containing a count down mechanism so that when a person pushes down on the cap during the opening process, a rotational force within the housing causes the day and numerical count indices printed on cylinders within the housing to advance one station so that the day and count indices showing in viewing apertures located on the outside wall of the housing reflect the fact that an item such as a pill has been taken by the user. A preferred embodiment includes a ring release slide mechanism that allows the user to disengage the advancing mechanism so that the user can manually rotate the counting mechanism to initially set the indices to the correct location with respect to the viewing apertures and to be able to reset the indices if the user presses on the top cap housing accidentally.

A portable stowable cargo restraining enclosure assembly for limiting movement of cargo combined with and affixed to a seat cushion. The portable cargo restraining enclosure assembly includes a plurality of sidewalls which are pivoted and/or folded into a collapsed or stowed condition attached to the underside of a seat cushion. During use, the enclosure assembly is pivoted up into and the sidewalls deployed to cooperatively form a walled enclosure for restraint of cargo. The seat cushion is preferably wedge shaped so that when used as a seat cushion, it provides orthopedic advantages. When used as a cargo restraining device, the wedge shape of the cushion helps make the base of the cargo restraining device parallel to the ground plane.
