An apparatus and method that effects selectable width of a roller track conveyance system having multiple roller tracks with asymmetric wall heights. The system includes a clip that connects lower or mating walls of two single roller tracks together. The connected roller tracks each have their own set of rollers, which form respective dispensing surfaces. A removable divider bar, which is capable of being selectively placed into the clips between the connected roller tracks, may be placed to divide the dispensing surfaces into separate surfaces or may be selectively removed to form a larger, single dispensing surface.

Selectable width track apparatus and method for a gravity fed shelving system

A gravity feed roller track and method of manufacturing same are disclosed. The roller track includes a roller tray in which a plurality of rollers are frictionally held. The tray includes a bottom wall from which first and second side supports normally extend. Each of the side supports is substantially z-shaped in vertical cross-section. More specifically, each of the side shapes includes upper and lower vertical sections laterally spaced by an angled extension wall. A plurality of recesses are provided in the extension walls and lower vertical support wall for receipt of hubs of each of the rollers. The tracks allow for smooth rolling and dispensing of product from the roller track, accommodate a range of product sizes, and enable a single size roller to be used with tracks of various width.

Rollers and track for gravity fed shelving apparatus

An indexable gravity flow shelving system provides resilient comb members along the front and rear rails of each inclined shelf to removably and releasably secure track members to the inclined shelf. Each resilient comb includes a row of downwardly-extending tangs that define slots therebetween to receive elongated flow ribs extending the length of the upper surface of each track member. The tangs contact the sides of the elongated flow ribs and prevent transverse movement of the track members. The spacing of the tangs allow for the shelving system to be used effectively with track members besides track members having elongated flow ribs. The resilient comb members deform and rebound to readily allow for rearrangement of track members within each inclined shelf. The resilient comb members can cooperate with price tag moldings along the front and rear rails of the inclined shelf. The price tag moldings provide means for mounting labeling indicia in close proximity to columns of product units stored on the shelf, as well as means for receiving stop plates along the front and, if desired, the rear of the shelf to prevent unwanted spillage of product units. A desirable alternate embodiment utilizes adapter means to allow retrofitting an existing cantilevered gondola-type shelf with resilient comb members to form front and rear track interface means and convert the existing shelf into an indexable gravity flow shelf.

Indexable gravity flow shelving system

A gravity flow rack system specifically designed for use in dispensers of cylindrical- or conical-shaped lightweight plastic containers such as disposable yogurt tubs has inclined shelves supporting container flow channels, each of such channels defined by a pair of elongated rails extending from a rear end to a forward lower end of the shelf and terminating at an L-shaped seat or cradle adapted to receive a lower-most of such containers as it reaches the forward end of the channel, and present that lower-most container in an inviting, easy-to-view, label-up orientation for consumer viewing, while remaining containers stacked upstream of the lower-most container in the same channel are generally obscured from view in order to deter inventory mishandling.
