The invention is an ingestible wellness one time daily dosage made of a large quantity of rapid absorbing glucosamine sulfate, glucosamine hydrochloride, and an n-acetyl glucosamine and combinations thereof, a large quantity of chondroitin sulfate, chondroitin hydrochloride and combinations thereof, a vasodialating sulfonate with at least one methyl group, and a buffer to reduce adverse symptoms from large amounts of glucosamine and chondroitin selected from the family of araliaceae and a B3 vitamin, wherein the invention is also a wellness beverage that involves a fluid combined with the ingestible wellness dosage.

A seal arrangement for providing a seal between a nuclear reactor in-core instrument housing and an instrument contained within the housing includes a lower seal assembly surrounding an outer portion of the in-core instrument housing, an upper seal assembly surrounding an outer portion of the in-core instrument, a seal housing enclosing the lower and upper seal assemblies, and lower and upper compression assemblies positioned on respective ends of the seal housing. The compression assemblies each include a drive nut and a compression collar. The compression collars engage and apply an axial load on the seal assemblies to maintain a reliable seal between the seal housing and the outer portion of the in-core instrument housing, and between the seal housing and the outer portion of the in-core instrument.

A method for repairing a weld is also described.

Canopy seal clamp assembly and method of installation

An omega seal (32) between a housing (24) having a circumferential omega lip (38) including a free end, and a reactor vessel nozzle (22) having a complimentary omega lip (40) including a free end. A semi-rigid, annular seat member (60) is placed within one of the lips, and the housing is positioned in vertical alignment with the nozzle so that the free end of the housing lip and the free end of the nozzle lip are juxtaposed, thereby forming an omega structure having a cavity (44) occupied by the seat member, a gap (42) between the free ends of the lips, and an outer surface (47,49) on either side of the gap. A semi-rigid ring (46) is positioned in conforming relation to the outside surface of the omega structure. A compressive force is applied and maintained on the exterior of the seal ring, thereby extruding a portion of the ring into the gap. In essence, the weldment which fills the gap in the conventional technique, is replaced in accordance with the present invention, by a semi-rigid ring under compression, which extrudes into and fills the gap.

Method and arrangement for compression sealing an omega joint

A plug assembly for plugging the flow hole of a core support barrel employs an offset arm for securing the plug to the core support barrel above the flow hole and the adjacent thermal shield. The disclosed embodiments do not require the cutting of an access opening through the thermal shield.

Core barrel flow hole plug and installation method therefor

A bolt insert 24 with special bolt 50 provides a fastening method to secure hard metal nuclear reactor parts 12, 14, 16 provided with aligned square EDM produced openings 18, 20, 22. The insert is an elongated square internally threaded member with slots 34 defining flexing fingers 36. Fingers 36 have work engaging shoulders 42. Stop means tabs 28 at the bolt head end prevent overinsertion of the square insert 24 during the operation of pushing it into aligned square holes 18, 20, 22. Internal threads 32 of insert 24 mate with bolt threads 60 during torquing on bolt head 52 to advance bolt 50, which has tapered end 56 and pilot portion 58, to cam fingers 36 into holding position. Couterbores 30 receive stop means tabs 28 such that bolt head 52 does not bottom on insert 24. The method of producing fastening 10 removes the need for accurate threading operations on irradiated parts in the remote field.

A laminar diaphragm (16) for use in a pressure transducer (10) comprised of two or more layers (50, 52, 54). The pressure boundary membrane (50) free of machining defects is supported by one or more support members (52, 54) having a fluid passage therethrough (56, 58). The support members (52, 54) are hermetically sealed around the periphery of fluid passages (56, 58) to the pressure boundary membrane (50) such that when the laminar diaphragm (16) is sealed in the pressure transducer (10) deflection of the pressure boundary membrane (50) within the regions of fluid passage (56, 58) in support members (50, 52) accurately indicates pressure.

An improvement in fluid pressure transducers having a housing with oppositely facing magnetic blocks (12,14) that form a sealed chamber (20) in which a magnetically permeable diaphragm (24) is disposed for magnetic coupling with electromagnetic coils (30) mounted within the blocks. The coil is mounted on an elongated plug (34) and covered by a non-magnetic, unitary metal cap (36) that is flexibly sealed between the chamber and the coil. The cap has a generally cup-like inner portion (48) for covering the coil and a flat rim portion (46) that is sealingly (58) secured between the mounting plug and shoulder means (50,60) within the block.

Arrangement for sealing a reactive element within a fluid pressure

A fuel assembly having a lower end fitting and a spidered actuating rod interacting therewith for holding the assembly down on the core support stand against the upward flow of coolant. Locking means and bracing means for interacting with projections on the support stand are carried by the lower end fitting and are actuated by the movement of the actuating rod operated from above the top of the assembly. The locking means include weak springs mounted near some but not all of the end fitting posts, for engaging the support stand. Stiff springs are mounted internal to the other posts, for uring the posts against adjacent support stand projections to provide a bracing for the locking means as the spider portion of the actuating rod presses against the locking spring. The angle and spring rate per unit length of the bracing spring are preset to assure a fairly constant locking force during the life of the assembly.
