Disclosed is a shaving preparation imparting durable lubricity. The shaving preparation has one or more silicone polyethers and one or more water-soluble polymers that associate with the one or more silicone polyethers in aqueous solution. The lubricity of the shaving preparation can be reactivated by wetting the skin after shaving without applying an additional amount of the shaving preparation. Also disclosed is a method for using the shaving preparation.

Compositions and methods are disclosed for preventing or reducing frizzy appearance of keratin fibers, including hair, and reducing the amount of fly-away strands of hair, particularly in humid conditions, by forming a coating on hair that is resistant to water vapors from the air or surrounding environment. The compositions comprise a combination of a hydrophobic particulate material comprising a hydrophobically surface-modified aluminum oxide and one or more hydrophobic film formers in a cosmetically acceptable vehicle.

Methods and compositions for preventing or reducing frizzy appearance of hair

The present invention provides cosmetic compositions that form a durable film or coating on surfaces such as hair or skin. The compositions of the invention comprise one or more anionic silicones and one or more high molecular weight esters, the combination of which provides a durable film. Methods for treatment of hair and skin employing the compositions of the invention are also provided.

Hair coloring compositions and methods of coloring hair with such compositions for providing a temporary color to the hair are disclosed, which compositions comprise an inorganic colored pigment preferably selected from the group consisting of iron oxides, ultramarines, and mixtures thereof, a nonvolatile dimethicone copolyol, and preferably a cationic deposition aid.
