A pigment layer is provided on a surface of an article on which a marking is to be formed and is irradiated with patterned laser light to change internal molecular structure of pigment to thereby change its color. The marking can be multicolored by a suitable selection of pigment and laser energy density.

Method of laser marking

An apparatus for measuring ozone concentration in which ozone contained in a liquid to be measured is caused to shift into a clean gas in a gas-liquid contacting tube. The gas into which the ozone has shifted is supplied to a photocell into which light is projected. The gas supplied to the photocell is exhausted through an ozone dissolving tube. The light transmitted through the photocell enters a detector. The output from the detector is utilized as an indication of the concentration of ozone in the exhausted gas, and hence in the liquid.

Apparatus for measuring ozone concentration

An intermittent ozonizing apparatus comprises an ozonizer for producing ozonized oxygen from an oxygen source, an adsorption-desorption tower which adsorbs ozone from the ozonized oxygen fed from the ozonizer to store the ozone, the ozone being desorbed by suction under a reduced pressure, a recycling passage for returning oxygen to the ozonizer after the ozone is adsorbed in the adsorption-desorption tower, and a blower connected in the recycling passage whereby oxygen gas containing ozone is recycled to the ozonizer during ozone adsorption and the ozone stored in the adsorption-desorption tower is desorbed by suction under a reduced pressure during ozone desorption to feed to an ozone outlet.

Intermittent ozonizing apparatus

A dry deodorizing apparatus. More particularly, it relates to a dry deodorizing apparatus wherein bad smell components in the gas to be treated is oxidized and removed by ozone and bromine and hydrobromine acid and, in addition, the ozonizing material such as ozone and bromine entrained by the air to be treated is removed with an adsorbent or a decomposing agent so that no secondary environmental pollution due to ozonizing material takes place.

Dry deodorizing apparatus

A water producing apparatus for extracting water from moisture-laden ambient air including a plurality of circumferentially spaced chambers packed with an adsorbent for adsorbing moisture in the air, a driving mechanism for bringing one or more of the chambers into and out of communication with a first and second desorbing section, a mechanism for passing ambient air through the chambers not in communication with the desorbing section, whereby moisture from the ambient air is adsorbed on the adsorbent and subsequently removed from the adsorbent in each chamber as that chamber is brought into communication with the desorbing sections, a recycling duct connecting the post-desorbing section to the predesorbing section to complete a desorption circuit, a mechanism for circulating air through the circuit to remove water from the adsorbent, a mechanism for heating the air in the circuit, and a mechanism for removing water from the circuit. The ratio of the number of chambers in communication with the desorbing sections to the number of chambers receiving moisture-laden air can be varied according to the temperature and moisture content of the ambient air.

Water producing apparatus

A water producing apparatus comprises means for adsorbing a moisture in the ambient air in an adsorbent for adsorption or absorption; means for desorbing the water as a steam by heating the adsorbent; means for evaporating a low quality water with a latent heat in the condensation of the desorbed steam; and means for condensing the steam obtained from the low quality water into the liquid water, whereby the water productivity is remarkably improved.

A water producing apparatus is, as a principle, to produce liquid water from moisture in the air by adsorbing the moisture on an adsorbent and then desorbing water from the adsorbent by heating it and condensing steam into liquid water. The water producing apparatus comprises a recycling passage for recycling steam through an adsorbent column in the desorbing step, a heater for heating the steam in the recycling passage; and a condenser branched from the recycling passage. In the desorbing step, steam in the recycling passage is heated by the heater to heat the adsorbent and to desorb water from the adsorbent and excess of steam corresponding to the desorbed steam is passed from the recycling passage to the branched condenser and is condensed to obtain liquid water in high efficiency.

A water producing apparatus for producing liquid water from a moisture in the ambient air by an adsorbent. Two columns holding the adsorbent are combined with a blower for feeding the air into the column and a condenser for condensing the desorbed steam obtained by heating the adsorbent adsorbing water. The blower and the condenser are commonly used for the two columns so as to minimize pipes and to save a consumption of energy caused by a pressure loss.

A gas containing bad smell substances and a washing solution for deodorization are fed into a wash tower so as to carry out the deodorization by the gas-liquid contact. An aqueous solution of an alkali bromide and an ozone-containing gas are fed into a bubbling vessel to produce in active bromine oxide compound. The solution containing the active bromine oxide compound is added to the washing solution and the bad smell gas is washed with the washing solution in the wash tower. The effect of deodorization is improved by the function of the bromine oxide compound and an amount of ozone discharged out of the system is decreased.
