Disclosed is an aqueous polyolefin resin dispersion including a polyolefin resin and an aqueous medium, wherein the polyolefin resin includes an olefin component and an unsaturated carboxylic acid component as copolymer components; the olefin component includes propylene (A) and an olefin(s) (B) other than propylene; the mass ratio (A/B) between the propylene (A) and the olefin(s) (B) other than propylene is 60/40 to 95/5; the content of the unsaturated carboxylic acid component as the copolymer component is 1 part by mass or more in relation to 100 parts by mass of the total mass of (A) and (B); and the content of the unsaturated carboxylic acid monomer in the dry residue of the aqueous dispersion is 10,000 ppm or less.

Disclosed is an adhesive for packaging materials being in a form of an aqueous dispersion including an acid-modified polyolefin resin containing a (meth)acrylic acid ester component, polyvinyl alcohol and an aqueous medium, wherein the content of polyvinyl alcohol is 0.1 to 10 parts by mass in relation to 100 parts by mass of the acid-modified polyolefin resin. Also disclosed is a packaging material using the adhesive wherein a barrier layer, an adhesive layer formed of a coating film obtained from the adhesive, and a sealant layer are laminated in this order.

The present invention provides a primer for footwear constituting members, wherein the primer includes an acid-modified polyolefin resin and a medium; the acid-modified polyolefin resin is a copolymer including an olefin unit and an unsaturated carboxylic acid unit; the copolymer includes as the olefin unit, a propylene unit (A) and an olefin unit (B) other than the propylene unit; the mass ratio (A/B) between the propylene unit (A) and the olefin unit (B) other than the propylene unit is 60/40 to 95/5; and the content of the unsaturated carboxylic acid unit is 0.1 to 10 parts by mass in relation to 100 parts by mass of the total amount of (A) and (B).

Disclosed is a packaging material, wherein a barrier layer, an adhesive layer and a sealant layer are laminated in this order, and the adhesive layer includes an acid-modified polyolefin resin that contains a (meth)acrylic acid ester component. The packaging material is preferably produced by forming on the barrier layer the adhesive layer including the acid-modified polyolefin resin that contains a (meth)acrylic acid ester component, and by subsequently laminating a molten sealant resin on the adhesive layer by extrusion lamination.

Disclosed is a release sheet including a substrate and a resin layer formed on the substrate. The resin layer includes: 100 parts by mass of an acid-modified polyolefin resin including an acid-modifying component in a content of 1 to 10% by mass; and 1 to 50 parts by mass of a crosslinking agent and/or 5 to 1000 parts by mass of polyvinyl alcohol. An aqueous polyolefin resin dispersion, a process for producing the same, and a water-based coating material comprising the same are provided. The aqueous polyolefin resin dispersion contains a polyolefin resin containing 50 to 98% by mass of an unsaturated hydrocarbon having 3 to 6 carbon atoms and 0.5 to 20% by mass of an unsaturated carboxylic acid unit, and a basic compound, and contains substantially no water-compatibilizing agent having a boiling point of 185&#xb0; C. or higher at normal pressure. The polyolefin resin has a number average particle size of 1 &#x3bc;m or smaller in the aqueous dispersion.

An aqueous dispersion that comprises: (A) a polyolefin terpolymer resin obtained from (a) an unsaturated carboxylic acid or anhydride thereof, (b) an ethylenic hycrocarbon, and (c) a specific compound, the proportion of (a) being 0.01 to 5 wt %, excluding 5 wt %, and the ratio of (b) to (c) being from 55/45 to 99/1 (wt %); (B) a basic compound; and (C) an aqueous medium, that the polyolefin terpolymer resin (A) dispersed in the aqueous medium has a number-average particle diameter of 1 &mgr;m or smaller, and that the dispersion contains substantially no nonvolatile water-compatibilizing agent. A polyester resin aqueous dispersion which provides a coating film having excellent processability, water resistance, corrosion resistance, chemical resistance, weather resistance and adhesion to various substrates, and which also has markedly excellent storage stability even at a high solids concentration. The polyester resin aqueous dispersion substantially comprises a specific polyester resin, a basic compound, an amphipathic organic solvent capable of plasticizing the polyester resin, and a compound having a protective colloid action.
