An elevator group control system for controlling multiple elevators cars each of which serves a plurality of floors includes a route preparation section which, at a time of assigning a hall call to one of the elevator cars, calculates a future trajectory for each of the elevator cars. The future trajectory for each elevator is for a case in which the hall call is assigned to the elevator car. A selecting unit which determines a selected one of the elevator cars to which the hall call is to be assigned using the calculated future trajectories.

An elevator group control system includes a reference route generating portion, which for each elevator, generates a reference route which the elevator should follow with respect to the time axis and position axis; and an assignment portion which selects an elevator for assignment to a generated hall call so as to make the actual trajectory of each elevator closer to its reference route. An elevator group control system is provided which stably keeps cage's position in temporally equal interval condition over a long period of time. By the above arrangement, only desired parameters to be adjusted are selected and adjusted out of a plurality of variable parameters for desired targets and traffic flows. Accordingly, an increase in time required for adjustment can be restricted even if there has been an increase in the number of variable parameters to be adjusted.

The invention relates to call registration wherein of a plurality of elevators an elevator which a user (passenger) wants to ride is called to the elevator hall of the user. A display is provided at an elevator hall for users. When a user depresses a hall calling button, a group supervisory controller determines and selects a suitable elevator, and causes the condition of the elevator to be displayed on the display in the form of sentences or the like. If the user is satisfied with the selected elevator, the hall calling button is not actuated again. An elevator information device is disclosed. The elevator information device has displays located in each hall of a building, each of which can display the service state of the elevator (information on arrival of a car, number of passengers in the car, floors at which the car is about to stop, waiting time, position of the car) by means of pictures and characters, whereby waiting passengers can easily understand the condition of the elevator. As a result, the waiting passengers do not feed uncomfortable due to confusion, impatience or distrustfulness. Consequently, the waiting passengers can be guided smoothly.

Information device of elevator

A pulse generator is coupled to a car drive motor directly coupled to a sheave, over which a rope suspending an elevator car is passed, and the position of the car is calculated through the counting of pulses produced from the pulse generator. First and second car position detectors for detecting respective first and second car positions are provided within a hatchway, and the number of pulses produced during a period from the actuation of the first car position detector till the actuation of the second car position detector is detected. A count value for calculating the car position is corrected according to the difference between the detected pulse number and a reference pulse number corresponding to the distance between the first and second car position detectors, thereby effecting the compensation for the wear of the sheave and rope to improve the precision of the car position detection.

Method and apparatus for detecting elevator car position

In an elevator control system, in which the elevator car is controlled on the basis of elevator car positions obtained through the counting of distance pulses provided in proportion to the distance travelled by the car and floor height data indicative of the heights of individual floors, the distance pulses are counted by moving the car at a low speed from the lowest floor to the highest floor, and the count at the time of the actuation of a floor position detector, which is actuated when the car passes by each floor, is stored as the floor height value of that floor in a RAM (Random Access Memory). With this arrangement, the measurement of the floor heights is facilitated, and also the preparation of a ROM (Read-Only Memory) for storing the floor height data for each elevator car is made needless to promote the standardization.

Elevator control system

A control logic for an elevator servicing a plurality of floors of a building comprises two microcomputers. The two microcomputers are provided with abnormal state detectors of their own. When the abnormal state detector of one microcomputer is actuated, the elevator is operated for recovery to the nearest floor by the other microcomputer on the condition that the abnormal state detector of the other microcomputer is not actuated, and thereafter retrial for the abnormal microcomputer is effected by an instruction from the other microcomputer. When the abnormal microcomputer recovers to normal state by the retrial, the elevator keeps operating, thereby preventing such a problem that the elevator cannot continue service by erroneous operation due to noise.
