A gasket having a core member having an opening, an inner seal portion made of elastic material and formed along an inner circumference of the opening, an outer seal portion made of elastic material and formed along an outer circumference of the core member. The core member has a seal-forming thin portion and an easily-deformable portion, the seal-forming thin portion being configured to form the inner seal portion at the inner circumference and to form the outer seal portion at the outer circumference, and the easily-deformable portion being provided between the inner seal portion and the outer seal portion and being configured to easily deform the core member.

Gasket

The invention addresses a challenge for providing an intake manifold that is able to suppress interference of the intake manifold with fuel injection valves at the time of a collision of a vehicle. In an intake manifold, joint faces and joint portions are connected to each other such that lines extended from the joint faces of flange portions and joint faces of the joint portions are oriented toward positions clear of fuel injection valves. In the intake manifold, each joint portion is formed such that a length of the joint face in a direction in which the joint face extends is longer than a maximum spaced distance between the corresponding fuel injection valve and the corresponding flange portion.

Intake manifold

An exhaust system member having an upstream-side opening into which exhaust gas flows and a downstream-side opening from which exhaust gas flows includes: first and second members. The first member includes first facing portions each having a distal end portion bulged radially outward in the exhaust system member, a notch is provided at a boundary between the distal end portion and a proximal end portion radially inward of the distal end portion at each end portion of each first facing portion, adjacent to the corresponding opening. The second member includes second facing portions, each arranged on the radially inner side of the corresponding distal end portion, each second facing portion is welded at a portion overlapped with the corresponding first facing portion, and a distal end face of each second facing portion facing a proximal end-side notch face of the notch in the corresponding first facing portion.

Exhaust system member

A damper structure for a gear device, which includes a first gear mounted to turn with respect to a shaft in a circumferential direction, a second gear mounted on the shaft to rotate integrally, a stopper rubber mounted on the second gear to face the first gear, and a pressing protrusion at the first gear to face the second gear. The stopper rubber is configured to be elastically deformed by pressing the pressing protrusion in a circumferential direction of the second gear during rotation of the first gear and be restored to the initial shape by separating the pressing protrusion during stop of the first gear. A recess for accumulating lubricating oil in the first gear is formed to face the stopper rubber.

Gear device

A heat shield structure includes an engine body having an exhaust manifold at its side portion, a fuel pump arranged above the engine body, and an engine cover. The engine cover includes a covering portion and a heat shield portion. The covering portion covers the fuel pump and the engine body from above. The heat shield portion protrudes downward from the covering portion. The heat shield portion partitions a space above the engine body and a space above the exhaust manifold from each other. The engine cover has an air guide passage between the engine body and the covering portion, the air guide passage extending from a front side of a vehicle toward the fuel pump.

Heat shield structure and engine cover

A device includes two fuel injection systems and a pulsation damper. Each system includes fuel injection valves and first and second delivery pipes. While fuel is pumped to the two fuel injection systems with a common fuel pump, the device intermittently drives the fuel injection valves to open, thereby supplying the fuel within the delivery pipes from the fuel injection valves. The paths through which the fuel passes include a first passageway, which has the first delivery pipe and a communication path, and a second passageway which has a branch path and the second delivery pipe. An opposing portion opposite to the opening of a placement channel in the first delivery pipe includes the opening of the branch path in the first delivery pipe. This enables one pulsation damper to precisely suppress fuel pressure pulsations occurring in the two delivery pipes.
