In a control apparatus for an in-wheel motor vehicle equipped with a motor provided in a tire wheel, at least one sensor provided in a case accommodating the motor, an electric power supply provided on a vehicle body and an electrical storage device that stores electric power, a controller provided on the vehicle body to control the motor, a power cable that connects the motor to the electric power supply and the electrical storage device, and a sensor cable that connects the sensor and the controller to each other, the controller is configured to perform disconnection control for discharging the electric power stored in the electrical storage device to an extra device when the sensor cable is disconnected.

Control apparatus for in-wheel motor vehicle

A drive device includes a motor, an inverter, an electric power storage device, and an electronic control unit. The electronic control unit is configured to generate a first pulse width modulation (PWM) signal of the switching elements by comparison of a voltage command of each phase according to a torque command of the motor and a carrier wave voltage, as a first PWM control. The electronic control unit is configured to generate a second PWM signal of the switching elements based on a modulation factor and a voltage phase of a voltage according to the torque command and a pulse count per unit cycle of an electric angle of the motor, as a second pulse width modulation control. A microcomputer including first and second CPUs is provided. The first and second CPUs may execute identical control programs in parallel. The microcomputer may control a write access by the first or second CPU. The microcomputer may compare an output of the first CPU with an output of the second CPU. Data is written to a write target unit. The microcomputer outputs a write response signal to the first and second CPUs when a data write destination of the first and second CPUs is the write target unit. The microcomputer outputs an abnormality determination signal when data output from the first CPU mismatches with data output from the second CPU. The microcomputer writes the data to the write target unit when the data write destination of the first and second CPUs is the write target unit and the abnormality determination signal is not input.

First pulse width modulation control is a control of generating a first pulse width modulation signal for a plurality of switching elements by comparison of modulated waves of voltage commands in phases based on a torque command for a motor with a carrier voltage, and performing switching of the plurality of switching elements. Second pulse width modulation control is a control of generating a second pulse width modulation signal for the plurality of switching elements based on a modulation factor of a voltage and a voltage phase based on the torque command and the number of pulses per unit period of an electrical angle of the motor, and performing switching of the plurality of switching elements. An electronic control unit is configured to switch the plurality of switching elements between the first pulse width modulation control and the second pulse width modulation control at irregular time intervals.

Drive device and drive system

A driving device includes a motor, an inverter configured to drive the motor by switching a plurality of switching elements, and an electronic control unit configured to set voltage commands of phases according to temporary voltage commands of the phases based on a torque command of the motor and perform switching control of the switching elements by generating PWM signals for the switching elements by using the voltage commands of the phases and a carrier voltage. The electronic control unit is configured to switch a method of setting the voltage commands between a first method and a second method for each irregular time interval. The first method is a method of setting the voltage commands without superposing harmonics to the temporary voltage commands, and the second method is a method of setting the voltage commands by superposing the harmonics to the temporary voltage command.

An electronic control unit is configured to perform pulse width modulation control. The pulse width modulation control is to generate signals of a plurality of switching devices of an inverter by comparing a modulation wave of a voltage command of each phase based on a torque command of the motor, with a carrier wave, and perform switching of the switching devices. The electronic control unit is configured to generate the carrier wave so that, in each unit interval, a required time in the unit interval is equal to a total time of a plurality of unit components, and, in at least one unit interval, durations of at least two unit components of a plurality of unit components are different from each other.

As a control of an inverter, a first pulse width modulation control switches a plurality of switching elements by generating a first pulse width modulation signal of the switching elements, and a second pulse width modulation control switches the switching elements by generating a second pulse width modulation signal of the switching elements based on a voltage modulation rate, a voltage phase, and the number of pulses per unit cycle of an electrical angle of the motor based on the torque command and has a smaller number of switchings of the switching elements than the first pulse width modulation control. A vehicle performs first PWM control of generating a first PWM signal of a plurality of switching elements to switch the plurality of switching elements by comparing voltage commands of phases based on a torque command with a carrier voltage when a target operating point including a rotation speed and the torque command of the motor is outside a predetermined area, and selects and performs second PWM control of generating a second PWM signal of the plurality of switching elements to switch the plurality of switching elements based on a modulation factor of a voltage and a voltage phase based on the torque command and the number of pulses in a predetermined period of an electrical angle of the motor or the first PWM control when the target operating point is inside the predetermined area.

Vehicle with controller for performing pulse width modulation control

When an absolute value of a rotation speed change rate of a motor is equal to or less than a threshold and an absolute value of a torque command change rate of the motor is equal to or less than a threshold, a switching angle is changed by cyclically changing a pulse type or the number of pulses as change in a pulse pattern. With this, respective order components of harmonics are dispersed, whereby it is possible to reduce the degree of prominence of a specific order component in harmonics relative to other order components.

The present invention minimizes system loss during execution of intermittent boosting. A boost converter control apparatus has: a target value setting device for setting a target value of output voltage that minimizes a loss of a power supply system including a DC power supply, a boost converter, and a loading apparatus; an intermittent controlling device for executing an intermittent process of boost control in such a manner that the output voltage is maintained in a range including the set target value; an average value calculating device for calculating an average value of the output voltage in an execution period of the intermittent process; and a target value correcting device for correcting the set target value to reduce a deviation between the calculated average value and the set target value.

A vehicle includes an electronic control unit configured to perform control of an inverter by switching a plurality of controls including: first PWM control of generating a first PWM signal of a plurality of switching elements by comparison of voltage commands of respective phases based on a torque command of a motor with a carrier voltage and switching the plurality of switching elements; and second PWM control of generating a second PWM signal of the plurality of switching elements based on a modulation factor of a voltage and a voltage phase based on the torque command and the number of pulses in a predetermined period of an electrical angle of the motor and switching the plurality of switching elements. A converter is capable of using two power sources located on a first side by switching connection of the two power sources between series connection and parallel connection. Under certain conditions, such as when a detected atmospheric pressure is lower than a predetermined value, frequency of use of the two power sources in series connection is reduced in the converter. It is thereby possible to prevent generation of excessive voltage by the power converter.
