A circuit resistance adjusting device for producing a combined resistance consisting of a plurality of resistances which are selectively connected by a switching member. The switching member includes a plurality of switching elements and fuses which are respectively connected with the resistances, wherein when a hold signal is applied to the switching member, the fuses are adapted to be fused off. A patterning member sequentially generates a predetermined pattern signal to the switching member on a step-by-step basis when a signal is applied to the patterning member, so that the resistances are respectively connected sequentially. Thus, upon the application of the hold signal, the patterning member is held to generate a pattern signal and the connection of the resistances is fixed by the fused-off of the fuses.

Circuit resistance adjusting device

Disclosed is a power source reset circuit which deactivates a contactless switch for a time interval determined by a delay means so as to prevent any erroneous output from the contactless switch while the output of a power source is unstable immediately after the power source is turned on. The reliability of the delay means is enhanced by the use of a Miller integration circuit which includes a current mirror circuit as a means for amplifying electric current. Furthermore, a switching device may be connected across the capacitor for integration so that the charge in the capacitor may be quickly discharge when the power is turned off, for the purpose of setting the power source reset circuit ready for the subsequent action when the power source is turned on thereafter. This invention is useful in applications where the power source for the contactless switch is frequently turned on and off.

Power source reset circuit for contactless switch

A circuit resistance adjusting device for producing a combined resistance consisting of a plurality of resistances which are selectively connected by a switching member. The switching member includes a plurality of switching elements and fuses which are respectively connected with the resistances, wherein when a hold signal is applied to the switching member, the fuses are adapted be fused off. A patterning member sequentially generates a predetermined pattern signal to the switching member on a step-by-step basis when a signal is applied to the patterning member, so that the resistances are respectively connected sequentially. Thus, upon the application of the hold signal, the patterning member is held to generate a pattern signal and the connection of the resistances is fixed by the fused-off of the fuses.

An attachment for an electronic switch having an outlet tube in one embodiment includes a first clamp member including a pair of legs having respective hooks on ends thereof, and a second clamp member having a pair of locking pawls for locking engagement with the hooks, respectively. In a second embodiment the clamp members are identical with a leg and hook and a pawl on each member. The second clamp member having a pair of cavities in which the legs can be fitted, respectively, the first and second clamp members being connectable together to hold the outlet tube of the electronic switch therebetween. The first and second clamp members as connected together are slidable between a first position in which one of the first and second clamp members is displaced away from the other while being retained together by the hooks and the locking pawls and the outlet tube is rotatable between the first and second clamp members, and a second position in which the one of the first and second clamp members is pushed against the other and the outlet tube is fixed in position between the first and second clamp members.

Attachment for electronic switch

An electronic switch includes a detector head in the form of a rectangular parallelepiped having a detecting surface and connecting members disposed on a corner thereof including a surface opposite to the detecting surface, the connecting members being identical in shape when the detecting surface is oriented in either a forward or lateral direction, the connecting members being symmetrically arranged with respect to an edge of the detector head, a head joint having an end to which the detector head is connectable by the connecting members and also having a rotatable annular connector on an opposite end thereof, and a switch box having engagement means for slidable engagement with the annular connector of the head joint so that the head joint can be rotatably mounted on the switch box. The detecting surface can be oriented in all of lateral directions by rotating the head joint. Since the head joint can be rotated without detaching the detector head, the electronic switch can easily detect desired objects which may be differently positioned.

Electronic switch

Disclosed is a proximity switch which includes a current feedback time oscillator so that an object in proximity may be detected from the decline in the oscillation output. In order to increase the recovery speed of the oscillation which has dropped as a result of detecting an approaching object, in addition to a first comparison circuit for detecting the object from the oscillation output level, a second comparison circuit is provided for varying the feedback current to the oscillation circuit to the end of maintaining the oscillation level at a certain low level even when the object has come sufficiently close to the proximity switch to otherwise completely terminate the oscillation. By virtue of the increased response speed of the proximity switch, it may be used in an environment where a strong AC magnetic field is present.

Proximity switch

Disclosed is a proximity switch which includes an oscillation circuit whose oscillation output is variable depending on the inductance of a coil so that an object in proximity may be detected from the decline in the oscillation output. Further, the oscillation gain of this oscillation circuit is variable according to an input from an external source. Thus, for the purpose of increasing the recovery speed of the oscillation which has dropped as a result of detecting an approaching object, comparison circuits are provided so that upon reduction in the oscillation output of the oscillation circuit a certain signal is applied to the oscillation circuit to increase its oscillation gain. As a result, even when an object in proximity is detected and the oscillation level is maintained at a certain low level so that the oscillation may be resumed quickly when the object has moved away from the proximity switch. By virtue of the increased response speed of the proximity switch, not only its detection capability is improved but also it is usable in an environment where a strong AC magnetic field is present.

Proximity switch having variable gain oscillator

A proximity switch comprising a detection coil, a first capacitor connected in parallel with the detection coil for forming a resonant circuit, an auxiliary coil, a second capacitor connected in parallel with the auxiliary coil for forming a resonant circuit, an oscillation circuit connected to the detection and auxiliary coils which are connected in series and in reverse winding directions, and an output circuit connected to the oscillation circuit for receiving variations in output generated from the oscillation circuit, the second capacitor having a capacitance larger than that of the first capacitor so that the second capacitor has a reduced low impedance at an oscillation frequency determined by the detection coil and the first capacitor.

Proximity switch with oppositely polarized coils

Electronic switching device comprising external terminals for connection with an external power source and a load, a detection circuit for generating a detection signal, a polarity switching circuit including an opto-coupler, and a power switching circuit for directly switching the load connected to the external terminals, said polarity switching circuit upon energizing or disenergizing the opto-coupler inverting the detection signal for application to the power switching circuit.

Electronic switching device

A proximity switch with two connecting wires for switching an alternating current is described. The switch comprises a rectifying circuit, a thyristor connected across the output terminals of the rectifying circuit, a stabilized power circuit connected across the output terminals for supplying a d.c. power to a detection circuit. The thyristor is provided with a triggering circuit which is connected between the anode and gate terminals of the thyristor and consists of a transistor and a Zener diode connected in series.

A proximity switching device is disclosed, which comprises an oscillating circuit including a detection coil, a signal producing circuit for producing a detection signal in response to an oscillating amplitude of said oscillating circuit, and an output circuit for producing an output signal in response to said detection signal. The output circuit comprises a pair of Darlington circuits and a driving transistor for driving said Darlington circuits, one of said Darlington circuits operating as a NPN transistor and another operating as a PNP transistor, said Darlington circuit being connected complementarily for providing complementary output signals.
