On-vehicle battery condition estimation device

An apparatus is provided to control a power voltage on a power-supplying line extending from a generator and connecting to a battery and eclectic loads. The apparatus is mounted on a vehicle and comprises a detecting device, a calculator, and a controller. The detecting device detects pairs of voltage and current of the battery. The calculator calculating a control current on the basis of the detected pairs of voltage and current and a target voltage for the power voltage. The pairs of voltage and current are used to calculate an internal resistance and/or a regression line of the battery. The controller controlling a charge and discharge current of the battery on the basis of the control current so that the power voltage is controlled to the target voltage.

Method and apparatus for calculating battery state and apparatus for controlling power voltage in vehicle

A charged state detecting apparatus for a secondary battery is provided, which can suppress deterioration in the accuracy of detecting a charged state, such as an SOC, the deterioration being caused by variation of a polarization state of a battery. The charged state detecting apparatus stabilizes an amount of polarization of the battery, stops power generation upon confirmation of the stabilization of the polarization amount, and sufficiently alters the current of the battery to sample a required number of data pairs of voltage and current of the battery. Using these data pairs, the charged state detecting apparatus detects a charged state, such as the SOC, of the battery.

Apparatus for detecting charged state of secondary battery

The present invention provides an AC generator for a vehicle, capable of improving the cooling capability and environmental resistance of a rectifier. The rectifier of the vehicle AC generator includes a positive electrode side radiating fin and negative electrode side radiating fin disposed in piles in a axial direction, a positive electrode side rectifying elements and negative electrode side rectifying elements provided in the radiating fins, respectively, and a terminal board. The positive electrode side radiating fin is equipped with cylindrical fixing portions to which the positive electrode side rectifying elements are fixed and radial sub-fins extending radially from the fixing portions. An opening portion surrounded by the fixing portion, the radial sub-fin and others forms an axial air flow passage.

AC generator for vehicles

A valve timing adjusting apparatus that selectively controls a restraint mechanism for restraining relative rotation between a housing member and a vane member to increase the operational life thereof. When a vane rotor is held at a most lagging angular position, an end holding mode is executed to pull out a stopper piston from a stopper hole by fluid pressures of both a leading angle side and a lagging angle side. As a result, when the vane rotor rotates from the most lagging angular position to the leading angle side, torsional forces on the stopper piston and the stopper hole can be minimized as the vane member direction of rotation changes. Since a fluid pressure has already been applied to each of leading angle fluid pressure chambers in the end holding mode, the vane rotor can be rotated from the most lagging angular position to the leading angle side quickly by increasing fluid pressure applied to each of the leading angle fluid pressure chambers without the need to switch a fluid path. In addition, since the fluid pressure applied to each of the leading angle fluid pressure chambers in the end holding mode is smaller than fluid pressure for rotating the vane rotor to the leading angle side, generation of impact sound due to collisions of vanes can be avoided.

Valve timing adjusting apparatus for internal combustion engines

A valve timing control apparatus which regulates the movement of an abutting portion in a constraint-free state and prevents the collision between the abutting portion and other members to thereby suppress the generation of hammering sounds. A stopper piston constrains relative rotation between a shoe housing and a vane rotor by being fitted into a taper hole at its most lagged position. Oil pressure chambers apply an oil pressure to the stopper piston in a constraint release direction between the stopper piston and the taper hole. At the most lagged position, a back pressure chamber communicates with an oil lubrication space through communication passages. When the vane rotor is rotated from the most lagged position to an advanced side relative to the shoe housing, the pressure receiving area of a forward end portion of the stopper piston in contact with the oil pressure chamber decreases. On the other hand, communication between the communication passages is interrupted. As a result, the collision of the stopper piston against other members in the constraint-free state is suppressed and the generation of hammering sounds is suppressed.
