In the case of a small-sized motor of the present invention, a printed board to which an electric circuit including an electric element is attached is mounted on a case cover. The printed board has a soldering part to be connected to a member attached to an interior of the case cover for being connected to an electric power source supplied from an outside and a soldering part to be connected to a projection in a notch provided on an opening part side of the metal case to body-earth the electric circuit. In the soldering part for the body-earthing, at the time of assembling the motor, after fitting the case cover to the metal case opening part, a pair of electrodes are brought into contact from an outside of the metal case near the soldering part, to weld the soldering part by a principle of the electric resistance welding. Consequently, it is possible to easily and surely body-earth the earth of the electric circuit to the metal case, and to reduce the number of the motor assembling steps so that the assembling can be performed with a good working property.

Small-sized motor and manufacturing method thereof

A miniature d-c motor comprising a case on the inner circumferential surface of which a permanent magnet is mounted, a rotor consisting of an armature and a commutator, and a case cap on which brushes and input terminals are mounted; the rotor being supported via bearings provided on the case and the case cap, in which the miniature d-c motor is housed in a hermetically-sealed internal space defined by the hermetic case formed into a bottomed hollow cylindrical shape and the hermetic case cap fitted to an open end of the hermetic case, and an output shaft connected to a rotor shaft via a magnetic coupling is rotatably provided outside the bottom of the hermetic case.

Miniature D-C motor

A miniature motor comprising a motor case having a bearing on the closed end face thereof, a stator consisting of a permanent magnet, brushes and terminals; and a rotor fixedly fitted to a motor shaft in the motor case and having core windings and a commutator; the rotor being rotatably supported by the bearing; in which the rotor and the stator are adapted so that the balance of magnetic field intensity between the stator and the rotor becomes unbalanced structurally or magnetically, thereby causing the rotor to be biased within the bearing in a predetermined positional direction with respect to the stator.
