An absorbent article is provided with a central elastic material for positioning in a state in which it is extended in the front/rear direction in the outer direction in relation to an absorbent body, and an elastic material cover sheet which abuts the outer direction side surface of the central elastic material. The elastic material cover sheet covers an extension region where the central elastic material is positioned in an extended state, and a non-extension region where the central elastic material is positioned in a non-extended state. An adhesive agent for fixing in the extended state is coated onto the central elastic material of the extension region. An adhesive agent is coated onto at least the non-extension region of the outer direction side surface of the elastic material cover sheet, and the adhesive agent coated onto the outer direction side surface penetrates to the inner direction side surface of the elastic material cover sheet.

Absorbent article and method of manufacturing absorbent article

An apparatus includes a rotary drum for disposing a workpiece on a web and a web position guiding mechanism for guiding a position of the web. The rotary drum includes a suction unit for sucking the workpiece. The suction unit is configured to change a disposition direction of the workpiece from a first disposition direction at the reception point to a second disposition direction at a delivery point. An external shape of the workpiece sucked by the suction unit is an external shape in which an outer edge portion of the workpiece is close to a rotary shaft side of the rotary drum. At an abutment point, a central portion of the workpiece and the web come into contact with each other. At the delivery point, the web is disposed so that an outer edge portion of the workpiece and the web come into contact with each other.

Apparatus for manufacturing absorbent articles and method for manufacturing absorbent articles

An apparatus for manufacturing absorbent articles includes: a swinging mechanism that feeds an elastic member while swinging the elastic member along a cross direction crossing a conveyance direction of a sheet-shaped continuum constituting an absorbent article, and that disposes a part of the elastic member on the continuum; a guiding member that conveys the elastic member; a cutting mechanism that cuts the elastic member; a joining mechanism that conveys the elastic member and the continuum that are supplied from the guiding mechanism to be taken along an outer periphery of the joining mechanism; and a sheet supply mechanism that supplies a sheet member onto an end portion in the cross direction of the continuum. A tangential direction of a deviation point at which the continuum is spaced from the guiding mechanism and a tangential direction of an arrival point at which the continuum reaches the joining mechanism are coincident with each other.

A continuous web processing device including a folding unit that extends in a conveyance direction. The folding unit has a central guide that comes into contact with the bottom of the crotch part of an absorbent article being processed, a pair of side guides that come into contact with the front waistline portion and the rear waistline portion of the absorbent article, and a superimposing roller that superimposes the front waistline portion and the rear waistline portion one on the other. A spacing between the pair of side guides becomes narrower in the downstream conveyance direction. Ends of the side guides are located further upstream than an end of the central guide. The superimposing roller superimposes the front waistline portion and the rear waistline portion of the absorbent article one on the other downstream from the side guides.

Continuous web processing device

A transfer device equipped with a rotating body having multiple workpiece holding units that support a holding surface holding a continuous sheet member through suction that faces outward in the radial direction of the rotation body. Between adjacent workpiece holding units, arranged in the direction of rotation, the device is equipped with bed knives that produce single sheets by sandwiching and cutting the continuous sheet member in combination with a cutter member arranged to face the outer surface of the rotation body. The workpiece holding units pivot to follow the radial direction of rotation of the rotation body and modify the long direction face of the single sheets when the rotation of the rotation body takes the workpiece holding units past the position where the cutter member is arranged. At this time, the workpiece holding units are arranged so that part of the workpiece holding units passes over a bed knife.

Delivery device

An absorbent manufacturing device forms an absorbent by depositing a liquid absorbent fiber and a super absorbent polymer in a deposition part. The absorbent manufacturing device includes: a plurality of suction holes that are provided in the deposition part, wherein the liquid absorbent fiber and the super absorbent polymer flowing inside a scattering duct are deposited in the deposition part by suction; a suction duct that is provided in communication with the suction holes and draws air so that the suction holes perform suction; and a separator that separates a super absorbent polymer of size equal to or larger than a certain size from a flow of air flowing in the suction duct and returns the separated super absorbent polymer to the scattering duct.

Manufacturing device and manufacturing method for absorbent

Equipment of manufacturing a wearing article includes a plurality of units movably arranged on a unit basis for transferring a half-completed product of the wearing article. The plurality of units is configured to perform the steps of shaping pulverized pulp into an absorbent body, sandwiching the absorbent body between first and second sheet members to obtain a continuous body of an absorbent main body, producing at least apart of a belt element, severing the continuous body to obtain the absorbent main body, affixing a pair of the belt elements to end sections of the absorbent main body, folding the absorbent main body in two, and superposing the belt elements on each other, joining the superposing belt elements at intervals at a to-be-joined portion to obtain the waist-belt section, and severing the continuous body corresponding to the to-be-joined portion for each waist-belt section to obtain the wearing article.

A processing apparatus that performs processing on a workpiece continuous in a transport direction, and performs processing on the workpiece at a predetermined processing pitch in a rotational direction of a rotating body that rotates about an axis, includes: a first processing section that is disposed at a predetermined position in the rotational direction so as to oppose an outer circumferential face of the rotating body, second processing sections at each predetermined angle in the rotational direction on the outer circumferential face of the rotating body, which perform the processing on the workpiece in cooperation with the first processing section when a second processing section opposes the first processing section, and a support section that supports the workpiece between the second processing sections, and in which it is possible to change, depending on the processing pitch, a position at which the support section supports the workpiece.
