A display apparatus displays a character or a graphic formed by a first light-emitting element group (first group) and a background of the character or the graphic formed by a second light-emitting element group (second group) on a display unit. The ratio of the electric current flowing through the light-emitting elements (elements) in the second group to the elements in the first group with respect to the elements of a same color as the elements whose electric current per unit light-emitting area is the largest among the elements of different colors when the display unit displays white, is closer to 1 than the ratio of the electric current flowing through each of the elements in the second group to the elements in the first group with respect to the elements of different colors from the elements whose electric current per unit light-emitting area is the largest when the display unit displays white.

Provided is a display apparatus including: a substrate; plural thin film transistors formed on the substrate; a planarizing layer covering the plural thin film transistors; plural organic light emitting devices formed on the planarizing layer to form a display area; and plural nondisplay devices formed on the planarizing layer outside the display area. The organic light emitting devices each have a first electrode, an organic compound layer, and a second electrode on the substrate in the stated order. In the display apparatus, in each of the plural nondisplay devices, the discontinuous part of the planarizing layer is formed.

Organic display apparatus comprising moisture propagation preventing means

Provided is an organic EL display apparatus including: a substrate; plural organic EL devices formed over the substrate, each of the organic EL devices including a first electrode, an organic layer, and a second electrode which are provided in order from a side of the substrate, the organic layer including at least a light emitting layer; plural pixel isolation films, each of which is an insulating film and formed between the first electrodes located adjacent to each other; plural auxiliary wirings which are formed on the plural pixel isolation films and include a conductive material; and plural partition walls which are formed on the auxiliary wirings and include one of an insulator and a conductor which is reverse-tapered to have reverse-tapered portions, in which the plural auxiliary wirings and the second electrodes are electrically connected with each other in positions directly under the reverse-tapered portions of the plural partition walls.
