An image scanning apparatus has an imaging bed for placing a subject thereon, the imaging bed having a recording unit for temporarily recording radiation image information of the subject on a stimulable phosphor sheet, a housing accommodating therein a reading unit for photoelectrically reading the radiation image information from the stimulable phosphor sheet, and an erasing assembly for erasing remaining radiation image information from the stimulable phosphor sheet, and a lifting/lowering mechanism for lifting and lowering the imaging bed with respect to the housing. The subject can easily be put onto the imaging bed, and the imaging bed can easily be operated.

Image scanning apparatus

A film package has a flexible light-shielding bag with a stack of sheet films stored therein, the flexible light-shielding bag having at least opposite ends sealed in a direction in which the flexible light-shielding bag can be pulled out, said opposite ends being folded back on one surface and joined together by a seal. The film package is placed in a holder which can be inserted into and removed from a main body of a film loading device.

Film package and device for loading films

A sheet film package includes a tray for storing sheet films, a first cover member for covering a film access opening defined in the tray, and a second cover member joined to the first cover member inwardly of an area where the first cover member starts to be peeled off. After the sheet film package has been loaded in a device such as an image recorder, the first cover member is cut off at the peeling-starting area by a cutter mechanism in the device, and the second cover member is pulled to peel the first cover member off the tray from the cut-off peeling-starting area, so that the film-access opening can reliably be opened in a bright room.

Sheet film package

A sheet film package includes a tray for storing a stack of sheet films and a flexible cover member peelably attached to the tray in covering relation to a film access opening for shielding the sheet films in the tray from extraneous light. The cover member is folded back on itself at one end of the tray and has an end portion which extends over the other end of the tray and which will be exposed from a loading device when the sheet film package is loaded in the loading device. The sheet film package may have a cushioning member disposed in the tray and composed of hollow air bags of a flexible material for pressing the holding the sheet films in the package member. A film loading device for loading the sheet film package therein include a light-shielding member for preventing extraneous light from entering a loading slot. The loading slot is closed by a pivotally mounted cover with the end portion of the cover member being led out of the loading slot. The light-shielding member may comprise a roller for pressing the cover member against an engaging portion of the sheet film package or the cover, or may comprise light-shielding blocks mounted on the cover and a frame of the device, respectively, for gripping the cover member therebetween.

Sheet film package and device for loading sheet films

A sheet feeding mechanism for feeding stacked sheets one by one from a sheet magazine includes a plurality of suction cups coupled to a vacuum suction device for attracting one sheet at a time, and an arm member on which the suction cups are securely mounted. At least one rotatable bearing is operatively coupled to the arm member and rollingly movable in a guide groove having at least one curved or bent guide opening. The bearing is movable by a slider in and along the guide opening to angularly move the arm member and hence the suction cups for thereby swaying and feeding a sheet held by the suction cups.

Sheet feeding mechanism

In a packaging case for photosensitive sheet film comprising a light-shielding tray which receives a stack of said photosensitive sheet films and a light-shielding flexible cover sheet which is stuck in peelable state to seal the opening for taking out said stack, the improvement comprising that said tray is made of resin comprising 50 to 90 wt. % of a propylene-.alpha.-olefin copolymer resin having a melt index of higher than 18 g/10 minutes, a bending elastic modulus of more than 9,000 kg/cm.sup.2 and a notched Izod impact strength of more than 2.0 kg cm/cm at 23.degree. C., 0.2 to 5.0 wt. % of carbon black and 9.8 to 49.8 wt. % of linear low density polyethylene resin. In the light-shielding tray of the invention, rigidity is secured by the propylene-.alpha.-olefin copolymer resin, and troubles caused by this copolymer resin such as mold shrinkage, warp and twist of the product are overcome and remarkable lowering of physical strength by blending carbon black are attained by incorporating the L-LDPE resin. Accordingly, even when this tray is made thin, sufficient rigidity and physical strength can be secured, although the tray is large. Since the deformation is small sealability between the light-shielding flexible cover sheet is acceptable. Moldability of the resin composing the tray is also sufficient.

Packaging case for photosensitive sheet films

A sheet film package comprises a tray for storing a stack of sheet films and a flexible cover member peelably attached to the tray in covering relation to a film access opening in the tray for shielding the sheet films in the tray from extraneous light. By inserting the cover member into a cover member peeling passage defined in an image recording apparatus, the cover member is peeled off the tray to open the film access opening.

Sheet film package and method and device for loading sheet film

A sheet film package includes a tray for storing a stack of sheet films and a flexible cover member peelably attached to the tray in covering relation to a film access opening for shielding the sheet films in the tray from extraneous light.
