An audio device includes a signal processor that processes an audio signal based on a predetermined parameter, a level adjuster that adjusts a level of the audio signal, a speaker that receives the audio signal and outputs sound, an interface that receives an instruction to switch the parameter, and a controller that decreases gain of the level adjuster when receiving the instruction to switch the parameter, and then performs gain control to increase the gain of the level adjuster so that a change amount of the gain of the level adjuster for a predetermined period of time is less than or equal to a predetermined value.

A level of an input signal is detected according to a first following rate, and a first level signal indicating the detected level is generated. A level of the input signal is detected according to a second following rate lower than the first following rate, and a second level signal indicating the detected level is generated. One of the first and second level signals is selected based on a relation (e.g., ratio) between the first and second level signals so that a gain is determined based on the selected one of the first and second level signals. The level of the first input signal is adjusted according to the determined gain. For example, if the level variation is dominant, the gain adjustment suitable for the level variation can be performed, whereas, if the stable level is dominant, the gain adjustment suitable for the stable level can be performed.

In response to continuous operation of an operation key on a remote control transmitter, the transmitter repetitively transmits a corresponding remote control signal with a predetermined cyclic period. The signal is received and analyzed by a remote control receiver and transmitted via a wired transmission path to a remote control re-transmitter. Then, the signal is re-transmitted by the re-transmitter via the wired transmission path. Due to a low transmission speed of the transmission path, the transmission path can not transmit all data of the remote control signal to the re-transmitter. Thus, until the next data are received from the transmission path, the re-transmitter interpolates the remote control signal based on the last data, and repetitively transmits the interpolated signal with the predetermined cyclic period.

With this configuration, not only can the size of the X-ray tube be reduced, but mounting of the focusing electrode can also be made easier, thereby simplifying assembly operations.

Transmission type X-ray tube

A method for manufacturing an X-ray tube that simplifies the manufacturing process, which method includes a stem unit assembly process, a high-temperature brazing process, an X-ray tube assembly process, and a low-temperature brazing process. In the stem unit assembly process, cathode pins are inserted through high-temperature brazing material and the cathode pin holes provided on the bottom plate member of the stem unit. In the high-temperature brazing process, the stem unit assembled in the above-described process is heated to the brazing temperature of the high-temperature brazing material used in the stem unit. In the X-ray tube assembly process, the focusing electrode, ceramic bulb, and output window are placed over the stem unit with low-temperature brazing material interposed between each component. In the low-temperature brazing process. the X-ray tube assembled in the above-described process Is heated to the brazing temperature of the low-temperature brazing material used in the X-ray tube assembly.

Method for manufacturing transmission type X-ray tube

An X-ray generation tube capable of providing gas ionization to ambient atmosphere in a wide area by radiating X-rays in various directions. The X-ray generation tube includes a container body formed of an X-ray transmittable material. The container body has a linear cylindrical shape or a circular shape. A target membrane is formed at an entire inner surface of the container body for receiving electrons and emitting X-rays. Bases are provided at both ends of the container body and have pins. A cathode is supported by the pins and is disposed at a central axis of the container body for generating the electrons. Since the distances between any one of the points on the target membrane and the cathode are equal with respect to a cross-section or the radial direction of the container body, and since the target membrane is provided at the entire inner surface of the container body, X-rays can be radiated from the entire outer surface of the container body in a uniform manner, resulting in uniform radiation.

X-ray generation tube for ionizing ambient atmosphere

An X-ray generation tube capable of providing ionization to ambient atmosphere in a wide area by radiating X-rays in various directions. The X-ray generation tube includes a container body formed of an X-ray transmittable material. The container body has one open end. A target membrane is formed at an inner surface of the container body for receiving electrons and emitting X-rays. A base plugs the open end of the container body and has pins. A cathode is supported by the pins and is disposed at a central portion of the container body for generating the electrons. If the container body has an elongated cylindrical shape, the cathode is positioned at and extends along a central axis of the cylinder. If the container body has a spherical shape, the cathode is positioned adjacent to a spherical center. Since the target membrane is provided at substantially all inner surfaces of the container body, and since the distances between any one of the points on the target membrane and the cathode are the same, X-rays can be radiated from the outer surface of the container body and directed toward an extended region in a uniform manner, resulting in a uniform radiation.

A searching device for a tape reproducing apparatus reproducing signals recorded on a tape wound on first and second reels includes first and second pulse generators respectively generating a shot of pulse signal each time the first and second reels are rotated by a predetermined angle, first and second counters respectively counting outputs of the first and second pulse generators, detector for detecting a running distance of the tape on the basis of output data of counters and a reproduced signal level detection circuit for detecting whether the level of a reproduced signal from the tape is larger or smaller than a predetermined level. The device comprises a switch for setting an initial position, a detector provided on a tape running path for detecting that a tape portion at a point of detection is a boundary between a leader tape and a magnetic substance portion of the tape, a head provided on the tape running path to effect recording or playback on the tape, a mechanical portion for driving the tape to move along the tape running path, and a drive control circuit for controlling driving of the tape so as to drive the mechanical portion to rewind the tape when the switch has been operated and, upon detection of the boundary between the leader tape and the magnetic substance portion by the detector, stop driving of the tape in a state where the head is positioned in the vicinity of a top portion of the magnetic substance portion thereby to set the initial position.

An single-ended push-pull amplifier comprises first and second complementary single-ended push-pull circuits connected in parallel across a power source. Each push-pull circuit has paired complementary transistors and an output connected together to drive a common load such as a loudspeaker. Inputs of the first and second push-pull circuits are connected with a bias circuit connected to receive an audio signal to be amplified. The first to fourth transistors are so controlled that the first and second transistors are operated Class A at small signal levels, and the first and fourth complementary transistor pair and the second and third complementary transistor pair are operated Class B at large signal levels, thus producing a low distortion factor and a high power efficiency.
