A controller of an embodiment includes a limiter receiving an active current command initial value, limiting a maximum value of the active current command initial value with a predetermined value, and outputting a first value; a circuit to calculate a reactive current command initial value; a calculator to calculate a reactive current command adjustment value; a unit receiving the first value as an input, and calculating a reactive current upper limit value such that a composite value of the first value and the reactive current upper limit value is equal to or smaller than an input current maximum value; and a limiter to output the reactive current command adjustment value or the reactive current upper limit value, whichever is smaller. The predetermined value is a value to set the reactive current upper limit value to a value larger than zero and smaller than the input current maximum value.

Power conversion controller

Provided is a power conversion controller in which variation in reactive power among power conversion controllers can be inhibited while maintaining the running performance of vehicles. The power conversion controller includes a power factor setter that sets a power factor based on a detection value of an overhead line voltage, and a calculator that calculates a reactive current command value by multiplying an active current command value by a tangent of a power factor angle of the power factor. The power factor setter sets a reference value set in advance as the power factor if the detection value is within a reference range, sets a value smaller than the reference value as the power factor if the detection value is below the reference range, and sets a value larger than the reference value as the power factor if the detection value is beyond the reference range.

A cage induction motor includes a rotor core that is rotatable about a central axis, and a shaft to which the rotor core is fixed. The rotor core includes an annular yoke and a plurality of spokes. The yoke supports at least one conductor. The plurality of spokes are arranged apart from one another in a circumferential direction of the yoke, are provided between the yoke and the shaft, and support the yoke.

According to one embodiment, an electric power conversion system includes a convertor, a detector, a delay controller, and a determinator. The detector is configured to detect information related to a voltage of electric power converted by the converter. The delay controller is configured to delay a conversion operation start of the converter by a first predetermined time with respect to a supply start time at which supply of the electric power is started. The determinator is configured to perform a first determination on the basis of a detection result detected by the detector before elapse of the first predetermined time from the supply start tune, and to perform a second determination on the basis of a detection result detected by the detector after the elapse of the first predetermined time from the supply start time.

Electric power conversion system

A voltage estimating device for a power supply line according to one aspect of the present disclosure includes a voltage detector, a current detector, a voltage calculator. The voltage calculator calculates a magnitude of alternating primary voltage that a primary winding in a transformer receives from a power supply line based on a magnitude of tertiary voltage in the transformer detected by the voltage detector, a magnitude of output current in the transformer detected by the current detector, and correlation information. The correlation information indicates a correlation between a voltage ratio and the magnitude of the output current, and the voltage ratio represents a ratio of the magnitude of the primary voltage to the magnitude of the tertiary voltage.

Railroad vehicle, voltage estimating device for power supply line, and method for estimating voltage of power supply line

A power conversion system includes a transformer, a power conversion device for travel, a power conversion device for auxiliary power sources, and an electrical storage device. The power conversion device for auxiliary power sources includes a first AC to DC conversion unit, a power conversion unit for AC loads, and a power conversion unit for DC loads. The power conversion unit for AC loads converts DC power into AC power and supplies it to an AC load. The power conversion unit for DC loads converts DC power produced through conversion by the first AC to DC conversion unit into DC power and supplies it to a DC load. The electrical storage device is connected to power lines connecting DC power output terminals of the first AC to DC conversion unit and DC power input terminals of both the power conversion units for AC and DC loads. When power supplied from a tertiary winding of the transformer to the first AC to DC conversion unit is reduced, the electrical storage device discharges power corresponding to the power reduction.

Power conversion system

A power conversion controller for electric train in one aspect of the present disclosure includes an active current command value generator, an overhead line voltage detector, an initial value calculator, an adjustment value calculator, an upper limit value setter, and an output limiter. The output limiter outputs a reactive current command adjustment value calculated by the adjustment value calculator as a reactive current command value when the reactive current command adjustment value is equal to or lower than an upper limit value set by the upper limit value setter, and outputs the upper limit value as the reactive current command value when the reactive current command adjustment value exceeds the upper limit value.

A control unit in a first power conversion apparatus is disposed forward, in the traveling direction, of a heat dissipation unit in the first power conversion apparatus, and increases or decreases electric power to be converted in a conversion unit of the first power conversion apparatus in accordance with at least one of information of a number of other heat dissipation units dissipating heat to the traveling wind and information of a distance to a forwardly adjacent one of the other heat dissipation units in the traveling direction.

An opening/closing body control device has a controller that controls a driving operation of a motor for carrying out an operation for opening/closing an opening/closing body of a vehicle, a load detector that detects a load of the motor; a deciding part that compares a variation in the load detected by the load detector with a predetermined threshold, thereby deciding presence of insertion of a foreign substance into the opening/closing body during the operation for closing the opening/closing body, an engine state detector that detects a stopping state of an engine of the vehicle, a receiver that receives a closing command for the opening/closing body which is transmitted from a remote control machine, and a changing part that changes the threshold.

Opening/closing body control device

A method for manufacturing a semiconductor device that includes a housing, formed of a polyamide-series thermoplastic resin, and a semiconductor package sealed in the housing, which is formed of a thermosetting epoxy resin. The surface of the package is modified by UV-irradiation to have adhesive properties to polyamide. A plurality of connector terminals extend from the package and housing in parallel. A portion of the terminals is also sealed in the housing together with the package. Thus, the device is easily produced by insert molding and has excellent moisture resistance.

Method of making semiconductor device

A lightweight regenerative brake having a large braking force is provided. A regenerative brakecomprises a brake disc () and a pair of stators () to perform regenerative braking. This regenerative brake () reduces the heat generated in the brake disc (), because a part of the kinetic energy of a railway car is regenerated by generation of electricity in a tertiary circuit of the power source side when the brake is applied, and consequently the amount of energy converted into heat energy is decreased. Compared to a conventional regenerative brake, this regenerative brake () enables the disc () to be made thinner and dispenses with a cooling device such as a fan. Accordingly, a small-sizes and lightweight brake having a large braking force can be constituted using this regenerative brake ().

Regenerative brake

A suspension insulator having a shed including an upper surface and an under surface has a pin fitting arranged at its center portion and projected from the under surface and a plurality of circular ribs arranged around the pin fitting in a concentric manner.
