An engine system provided to a vehicle having an accelerator pedal is provided. When an engine operation range is determined to shift to a first range (where an electromagnetic clutch is disengaged) from a second range (where the clutch is engaged) after an opening of the accelerator pedal increases at a rate below a given reference rate, the clutch is switched from ON to OFF after a given basic stand-by period passes from the shift. When the engine operation range is determined to shift from the second range to the first range after the accelerator pedal opening increases at the given reference rate or above, the clutch is switched from ON to OFF after a given acceleration stand-by period (longer than the basic stand-by period by a given added period) passes from the shift.

Engine system

An engine system is provided, which includes a supercharger driven by a crankshaft of an engine, an electromagnetic clutch disconnectably connecting the crankshaft to the supercharger, and a controller configured to output a control signal to the electromagnetic clutch. The controller includes a processor configured to execute an uphill-angle detecting module to detect an uphill angle during traveling of a vehicle, an uphill determining module to determine whether the detected uphill angle is above a given first uphill angle, and a boost controlling module to, when the detected uphill angle is above the first uphill angle, control the electromagnetic clutch to connect the crankshaft to the supercharger even when a target torque of the engine is within a not-boosting range.

A transmission system configured to perform a gear change based on a shift operation by an operator is provided, which includes a power transmission system including a transmission and configured to transmit an engine driving force to wheels, a shift operation detecting module, and a transmission controlling module adapted to be executable of a manual rotation synchronizing mode having first and second steps. In the first step, when a first shift operation for changing the transmission to a lower-speed side is detected, the transmission controlling module sends a control signal to a connecting-and-disconnecting mechanism provided to the power transmission system to suspend the transmission of the driving force. In the second step, when a second shift operation is detected, the transmission controlling module sends a control signal to the connecting-and-disconnecting mechanism to resume the transmission of the driving force while the transmission is switched to the lower-speed side.

Transmission system

A gear shift operation device for a vehicle to which a multiple-stage automatic transmission is mounted, is provided. By a control lever being manually operated in a range switchable mode, a range position is switched at least between a D-range where automatic transmission is performed and an R-range, and by the control lever being manually operated in a manual transmission mode, a gear change is performed. An operation reaction force when the control lever is manually operated is set larger when the gear change is performed in the manual transmission mode than when the range position is switched in the range switchable mode.

Gear shift operation device for vehicle

A control device for an engine includes an accelerator opening detector for detecting an opening of an accelerator, a target acceleration setter for setting a target acceleration of a vehicle based on the accelerator opening detected by the accelerator opening detector, and an engine controller for adjusting an engine torque to achieve the target acceleration set by the target acceleration setter. When the accelerator opening is increased from a state where the target acceleration is set to zero, the target acceleration setter sets the target acceleration according to the accelerator opening to produce a highest jerk in the vehicle at an accelerator opening that is larger by 5 to 10% than an accelerator opening corresponding to the state where the target acceleration is set to zero.

Control device for engine

A control device for an engine is provided. The control device includes an accelerator opening detector for detecting an opening of an accelerator, a target acceleration setter for setting a target acceleration of a vehicle based on the detected accelerator opening, and an engine controller for adjusting an engine torque to achieve the set target acceleration. The target acceleration setter sets the target acceleration such that a characteristic of a change of a jerk produced in the vehicle due to a reduction of the accelerator opening correlates to a characteristic of a change of a jerk produced in the vehicle due to an increase of the accelerator opening, the increase of the accelerator opening performed in an early half of a process of acceleration to a constant speed travel of the vehicle, the reduction of the accelerator opening performed in a latter half of the process.

A control device for an engine, which controls an engine torque based on operation of an organ-type accelerator pedal is provided. The control device includes an accelerator opening detector for detecting an accelerator opening based on an angle of an accelerator pedal, a target acceleration setter for setting a target acceleration based on the accelerator opening, and an engine controller for adjusting an engine torque to achieve the target acceleration. The accelerator pedal is arranged to have a pedal angle at a predetermined initial pedal angle when the accelerator pedal is not pressed. The target acceleration setter sets the target acceleration to zero when the accelerator pedal is pressed and the accelerator opening is within a range where a difference between the pressed pedal angle and the initial pedal angle is between 2 and 4 degrees.

There is provided a vehicle driving support device including: a change amount calculating partthat calculates a first correlation value correlated to a change amount of acceleration of a vehicle; a jerk calculating partthat calculates a second correlation value correlated to a jerk of the vehicle; and an operation state determining partthat determines a driving operation state of the vehicle from a first correlation value calculated by a change amount calculating part, and a second correlation value calculated by a jerk calculating part, in accordance with a determination reference previously set from a ratio of a kinetic energy of a mass point to the change amount of the acceleration of the vehicle at an end point of change when the acceleration of the vehicle is changed, calculated using a vibration model showing a movement of the mass point in a passenger compartment.
